My wife and I went out for a nice dinner to this restaurant and we were very impressed by the experience. The restaurant is located in an late 1800's home, the ambience is very nice, and the service is professional and friendly. The quality of the food is excellent, and presentation is delightful! Dinner for 2 would cost at least... more
Who'd a thunk it? A crazily great place to eat on Ile Bizzard. I mean - I thought ile Bizzard was just about the golf courses - not about food.
But there I was - guests of a friend of ours who positively loves great food - and bring your own wine places. He's clearly an 'oeniphile' - that's someone...

We had a family and friends birthday celebration here for 26 people which left only two tables of four available. The space is intimate, the service was perfect and the food was excellent. I had hot potato leak soup to start followed by a rib eye steak, although I think it might have been two boneless rib eyes, very tender,... more
This 1843 historical house is a perfect setting for a great meal. From the table d'hôte to the written on a slate to the complete menu, there is a choice for every taste. Service can be slow if very busy but all is worth the wait. Bring you own wine is also a plus. Reserve well in advance;
Magnificent! Simply fabulous!
The small intimate restaurant provide an above and beyond customer service. Food was excellent and prices were reasonable. Reservation weeks in advance and certainly worth the wait. This restaurant is a must visit, owners operated and they know the importance of customer satisfaction. They really did an excellent job and I highly recommend it.
This was a delightful dinner with extra special food in a beautiful old stone house setting. The service was very attentive and the chacken and the salmon dishes were both superb. The desserts were also very special.
My husband & I love this restaurant! We've been here many times before...as a couple or with friends, each time it has been simply great! The service is excellent and the food magnificent (especially the homemade desserts!), and it is a BYOB...big ++!
Make reservations ahead of time, because it is a very popular restaurant.
Merci to the wonderful owners...

I went to this amazing restaurant with my boyfriend for a romantic dinner. The food in itself was delicious and the steak cooked just the way you like it. The presentation was beautiful! This is my favorite place for dinner in Montreal. It is so good that it is always packed that you need to make reservations weeks in advanced (okay this is one drawback). What I like about this place is the food, the wine, and the service.
First, the food. Everything on the menu is delicious. The food is prepared with...

We have been to Bistro 1843 in L'IIe Bizard several times and have never been disappointed.
The food is prepared with the freshest local ingredients and the sauces that accompany them are mouth watering. They offer exotic meats and beautifully prepared fish ( Bison, venison, black Cod). We usually take the Table d'Hote which includes a soup or salad, the...

We went to Bistro 1843 once again on Saturday and as always we were blown away by the food, the service and the ambiance. I savored a fabulous Rack of Lamb and my wife the most succulent of filet mignon. This is a not to miss restaurant and a BYOW!!!!!
this is a very small place which is why you have to reserve well in advance. However, the food & service are just fantastic. It is a Bistro du Marche, so the table d' hote menu changes almost every day. And, BYOB.
Can't say enough good things about this Bistro. I spoke with the owner & they will try to...

Been twice now. Both times extremely impressed. Superb hosts, superb food, perfect temperature, quiet, casual and simple decor. Will return again and again.

Very much impressed with this little restauarant on my birthday. Food was hot, well prepared, and beautifully presented. Staff had the uncanny habit of showing up at the right time. I mentioned when I was reserving that there was a birthday dinner celebration and never mentioned it when they called to confirm my reservation. Dessert showed up with a sparkler... more
Our second visit to this small bring own wine restaurant situated at 376, rue Cherrier in L'île-Bizard only confirmed our original opinion of this true jewel on the west island of Montreal. A cozy restaurant in an old stone house with parking in the rear.
Tarik and Sarah do a wonderful job of greeting guests and making your meal a real treat.
