When my coworker and I signed up for our first class, we ended up coming literally five mins before class. The front desk was very helpful getting us signed quickly and changed and good to go.
The instructors were nice enough to make sure newbies like us also got personal attention to make sure our postures were correct. Some instructors who hang out around the front desk after class also are...

This is the worst yoga experience I've ever had!
I've been an active yogi for a little more than 3 years, I love Hot Yoga and since my membership expired I decided to try different centers. I recently purchased a groupon for a month of Bikram Yoga, I fist went to the Cambie location:
Front desk: Very nice and helpful.
Class: Too crowded, I was surprised the teacher was limited to talk and...

Having returned to Bikram Yoga recently, the Alberni St location is my default studio due to it's proximity.
Front Desk: Variable depending who is on. Woman called Kelly (Kellie?) is excellent example of what a front desk person should be: friendly, chatty and eager to offer help or information if needed. Some of the other folk who cover should take a leaf out of her book, they aren't as...

My review for this studio has been long overdue. I've been attending Bikram Yoga at the westend studio for over two years now and the studio is awesome! I'll admit that while the studio is a bit outdated (westend location) the instructors and students are awesome so that makes up for any discrepancies of the studio.
Besides, Bikram Yoga isn't about fancy decor or state of the art studios, all...

It must be hot yoga!!!!
First off, I have to say, I love hot yoga. Even with all I mentioned above, i have always loved my experiences, particularly at West Coast Hot Yoga. While this Bikram's location has its issues, the instructors are generally very good (i thought Jessica was great...

I took my first hot yoga class here a few years ago (I have since become a hot yoga devotee) and overall I have to say it was a good experience. The studio is nothing special -standard Bikram setup with mirrors to the front and the side. The prices are also in line with most of the other hot yoga studios in the city.
There were a couple of downsides, though. I found the girls changeroom to be...

As far as yoga places go, it seems the more trendier the location the less it's about the yoga and more about the yoga people and clothes -- if you know what I mean. But this location of Bikram's is actually laid back and unpretentious. The room is very simple -- typical ultra hot room and mirrors in the front. I don't recall there being a carpet, that would be unusual but somehow that image is... more
if i am correct, they are close to the gas station on georgia st. if it is....this place uses really bad and poor heating for hot yoga.
instead of using infrared ray heat, or heated panels ceiling or floor, microwave, or natural coal heating system, they use heat blower like a hair dryer which blows too much extreme electrons that can affect and effect the human capacity of intaking inhaling...

It is one thing to talk about the actual practice of Bikram Yoga and another conversation altogether to talk about the venue, Bikram's Yoga College of India. I was a 2-3 time a week student of Bikram's and finally getting to the point where it didn't kill me to go to the HOT yoga class. When I say hot, I mean, HOT, 30-35 degrees. I love the heat but if you don't, re-consider. After 4 months of... more
