Hotel was dated but clean. Staff was very welcoming. Room was small but cozy. Priced right.
I was not impressed at all. Arrived at hotel and the Office was locked. A maid came and asked if she could help me. I told her I am trying to check in. She called another woman who came to sign us in. She must have been cleaning a room because she was sweating and looked very dishevelled. Tennis shoes just slipped on. She was cordial and signed us in. She then informed us that the room we were... more
Awsome stay..cheap room and comfortable beds...wil take this next time........... more
Newly remodeled suite room. Very comfortable room; outside temperature dropped to 45F during night but suite had baseboard heat and a gas fireplace. WIFI does not work in rear wing but ok in front wing. Good location for restaurants and shopping.
Dying Hotel, no service at all. Breakfast sevice closed. Kitchen without any facility.
Air conditioning would make this motel the best in whole area,The cost alone made me fearful, and pleasantly surprised,Nowhere are motels 75.21 a night.(total with taxes. Its clean and well maintained by excellent owners..very accommodating to our needs and i would definitely recommend this motel to others on a budget. We did have a fan in the room so comfort measures were met (.It was 31 that... more
Pulled back the sheets and covers and watched Spiders scramble. Flys in the bathroom. Their version of an A/C was a fan at the foot of the bed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Needs Full Upgarde.
Great rate considering long weekend and being 5 people. Three queen size beds, big size fridge, microwave and table seating 4 make our stay really comfortable.
They had no phone, no air conditioning, no wifi and no remote for the TV. But the big thing is they had no smoke detector...when we asked for a remote and a phone she finally brought them and when I said what about a smoke detector she said she didn't have one..so I told her that is against the law... more
When I hear 'Motel' I immediately think old, trucker, dirty beds, smokers haven, 'Bates Motel' . Although not the most up to date , I can tell the owners try to keep things clean and functional. Having a clean bed is my far most important rule. Sheets were clean, beds were put together with care, new pillows TY. If I... more
I was driving up North and just needed a place to take a shower and have a restful sleep.
I first drove into the Best Western Hotel on the West side of Hinton, I was very disappointed to here that my stay from 9:45pm to 8am would run me $165.00 for a single room non-smoking.
I chose not to stay...

Jasper is O.K. for a coffee break but to stay there costs an arm and a leg. We drove the short distance to Hinton and were made very very welcome at this Motel. The price was very reasonable and the rooms clean and comfy. A short drive away there is a beaver pond with boardwalks, well worth the effort.
We were a group of 7 and we rented 3 rooms online. On arrival we found the rooms were not adjoining each other, so we got offered instead (at no extra cost) a full house with two floors and quite a few rooms. We looked at the house (which was about a couple of hundred meters from the motel) and... more
We wanted to take my parents to Jasper but most of the motel rooms were $200 + for a night if you could even find a vacancy. We found the Big Horn Motel in Hinton online and decided to give it a try. We would only be using it to sleep and thought we would take a chance. What a... more
We were turned around due to a fatality accident prior to Jasper and were forced to spend the night in Hinton. All the hotels were showing no vacancy. We pulled into the Big Horn thinking it is older - I thought nostalgic, my wife and daughter were thinking Alfred Hitchcock-like. The room was reasonably priced - we went in the... more
This place isn't fancy but a clean quiet place for a night. The room is small but spotlessly clean, with a fridge, microwave, TV and Great water pressure. All depends what you want, if your looking for cheap price, clean & quiet the Big Horn Motel fits the bill!
We stayed at this motel in May 2013. The room we were given was poorly lit and had a large chair that partially blocked the entrance to the bathroom. There was no room to move the chair elsewhere. The toilet did not flush. When we reported this problem, we were told that the toilet had been constantly running so they... more
