Decided to go for brunch at Bianca's on Sunday and it was absolutely delicious! My Boyfriend has a tendency to be very picky with food and doesn't like anything too out of the box, but we both had an amazing meal. He had the Salt Fish Cakes with Crispy Pickled Onions ( fancy onion rings) and i had the poached eggs with smoked salmon and sweet potato roti. the price was perfect for what you get on your plate, we did not leave hungry!! Great staff, Great coffee.

Brunch at Bianca's is totally worth checking out - the food was fantastic!
Pleasant and not overdone service with great seafood (halibut superb)
Bianca's doesn't have a wiine list they have a wine wall. Fun to wander around and choose your wine. There were 6 of us and the food was good. Some was great -- the halibut was very fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is what really sets this place apart. Not intrusive but just always there when needed. It is a very nice upscale but relaxed spot.
For a fine dining establishment the efficiency of the service was little over the top ...detracted from the overall experience.
We really enjoyed Biancha's. I like the pick your own wine from the lineup, there are some great choices. Ate there twice and had the veal cheeks both times, they were awsome.
It's been in St. John's for quite a while, and we have dined here before. The restaurant is classy without being stuffy, and the service is always above average. The food is well prepared and includes French and local cooking. A very nice night out, and a short walk to the shops and bars that all stay open late.
We did enjoy our dinner for our 49th wedding anniversary - just the two of us. It was mid week so the restaurant was quiet, so we received our server's detailed attendance. My husband has a background in fine dining and he was especially pleased that the word "entreé" was used correctly to denote an appetizer and not a main course. The food was absolutely delicious and quite copious, and served... more
Food quality, service and atmosphere was outstanding during our recent visit. I have dined at a number of the other top names downtown recently duing business functions but I take my Wife out to Bianca's. The food and atmosphere out-did all the others.
Our visit to Bianca's was a positive one; the atmosphere and service were very good. However, for some of us, the food was disappointing. The beet soup was bland and the duck was not as flavourful as expected. The desserts too were underwhelming.
Excellent service, excellent food. Lives up to its good reputation.
Accommodating for food intolerance and sensitivities such as dairy and gluten as well.
A very good, convenient, classy and unpretentious restaurant with a selection of entrees to suit all discerning diners. Both the beef tenderloin and the halibut were cooked to perfection and carefully presented. Happy to recommend it!
Comparable to other "nice" dining establishments in St. John's. The food was very good. Service was slow but the staff were very nice. Seemed to be under staffed. Nice touch to pick your own wine from the "wine wall". Decor could use some updating. Overall nice evening but would not rush back.
Our overall evening was OK. Staff were friendly, well meaning but generally a bit lost, it seemed. The lighting was bright enough to cause you me squint. They were very accommodating in dimming them but it still seemed as though the after-meal "clean-up" lights were heavily used in the dining area vs what appeared to be more appropriate ambiance chandeliers.Personal wine preference, I would... more
I was surprised by the dining room...not quite up to fine dining standards (cheap curtains, stains on the institutional- like drop ceiling...)
The wait staff were friendly but seemed new and not very polished.
The appetizers came out after over an hour...an apology was offered and they were not charged to us.
The food quality was very good, in particular the crab cakes.
The mains were generous...

I frequent this restaurant several times a year and am never disappointed. The meats are cooked to temperature perfectly and the presentation is outstanding. Highly recommended!!
We booked our anniversary dinner here. We wanted something new& we SCORED!! We ordered 3appetizers to share the Scallops,Seared Foie Gras,& Rock Crab Cake. We've had scallops&crab cakes before but these were delicious like trying them for the first time and loved it. We tried the Seared Foie Gras for the first time&were DELIGHTED Very tasty!!! Bianca's sets the standard in St. John's for gourmet dining. Food is ALWAYS top notch. Service is fantastic, but friendly and relaxed. Some gourmet restaurants go too far with formal service. Not Bianca's - the servers genuinely want you to enjoy the experience.
The steak and halibut were fantastic. Another great experience.
Just had brunch at Bianca's and it was fabulous. They do such a great job of making you feel special. Today they had a complimentary fruit plate for the table and a very well thought out brunch menu. I had the lobster BLT that was served on a soft croissant and paired with fresh artisan greens salad. We also tried... more
Bianca is a nice and modern place to eat. Plates had a nice presentation and food quality was awesome.
Fantastic service and a wonderful meal. Lovely atmosphere.
excelent food and service.Everything was perfect from free sampler appetizers on. Service was seamless, I as very impressed with the quality of the food and the level of service. I do recommend on you next visit in NL.
We had a fantastic meal at Bianca's last night. The food was top shelf. Service was attentive without being over the top. A wonderful experience!
The food, service, atmosphere, just everything made our dinner date wonderful. Look forward to returning the next time we are in town.
The food (lamb rack) we had was superbly prepared and presented. The waiter even though of asking out allergies when it wasn't even mentioned to him. The table spacing made it easy to carry-on a conversation without interfering with neighbours. An interesting wine presentation - no list but a bottle of each selection carefully arranged ( with pricing) on one wall.
I went to Bianca's for lunch with my daughter. It was my first visit. Everything was perfect!! The food and the service was exceptional! Will definitely be back and I recommend this restaurant.
I had a very nice dinner at Bianca's. The service was excellent (we had to wait a while for my dish, but only because I ordered well done lamb - and it takes a while to cook that!). Very nice meal!
You'd expect NYC or something high end in Europe. Everything was perfect from free sampler appetizers on. Service was seamless. I even chatted with the owner and she will give me tips on a Spa in Bulgaria
Had dinner at Bianca's Saturday night was very impressed with the quality of the food and the level of service. My tenderloin was perfect. Lamb was probably the best I have ever tasted and everyone at my table was very impressed with the entire experience. Without a doubt the best restaurant meal I've had in many months. Oysters were fantastic... more
Went last night with a professional cook (retired). We're at the age now where we try to avoid eating too much which is always a problem at Bianca's because everything is always perfect. Same quiet efficient service as always. New waitress, lovely young thing. I had the salmon of course, over asparagus, snow peas, potato wedges.

This restaurant has been perfect since the day it first opened. Staff are the best trained in the entire City. Food is always simply perfect.
Bianca's has lost it's mojo, magic, whatever you want to call it. The décor is tired, in need of a refresh. The service was fine, but the food was just okay, for the money that made the experience a disappointment.
Dinner with friends. The service was fantastic and the meals were superb. Would recommend this restaurant without any misgivings.
I have enjoyed dining at Bianca’s for several decades now. My law firm has ordered lunch from Bianca’s for our weekly meetings since 1991. It is difficult to remain at the top of your game consistently for many years in any occupation, but Bianca and her team have managed to achieve this in the world of fine dining in St. John’s. Back in the old days when the number of fine dining... more
Good choice of menu and some good daily specials, well presented and good portion size. Unusual feature is their wine wall, there is no wine menu, instead you pick your bottle from the wine wall. Good service. Bathrooms clean and well stocked with some nice extras.
I was prepared to be disappointed. After all, we were a group of 30 and eating from the catering menu. The food, however, was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. My only complaint is that they follow the local "fine dining" habit of piling all the main course on top of each other. Wine pairing was... more
I can't imagine how this place could be any better. Simply lovely. I wasn't into the starch dish so asked for potatoes instead and they were supplied in a flash. Bianca's is pretty centrally located and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. My only complaint would be the purple sheer window coverings - not very attractive! These people know how to prepare fish to perfection. The B&B staff told me it was one of the best in the country and I share that opinion. Truly lovely
Eight of us spent our New Year's Eve here. Food was great, ambiance and level of celebration was not so great.
Food consisted of a very enjoyable Amuse Bouche of Foie Gras, Port Reduction, Poached Pear&
Brioche. Very tasty. Next was a choice of salad or Roasted Jerusalem Artichoke Soup. Soup was excellent and the salads were well received. Next,...

Visiting St. John's for the first time, we followed TA's recommendation and tried Bianca's. From the time we arrived, service was above average attentive. In spite of how pretentious we pretended to be, our server had an answer for every ludicrous question we had for her.

Can not visit St. John's, NL with out stopping in for dinner or at the very least lunch. This place is unique to the city, yet it has been around for many years. It is a must go.

To Nicky and Bianca, hats off. Your vision is ideal. xo
Business dinner, 5 of us, friendly greeting, nice corner table, attentive service.
Appetizers of soups, salads and raw oysters, everyone enjoyed theirs.
Most of us ordered mains of seafood, one person ordered steak, everyone thought their meal was excellent, great wines (all price points).
Finished with decedent desserts and one cheese tray, great coffee.

Took a freind down last week. He had never had fine dining in Canada before. He was suitably impressed. Everything was flawless. He had filet and I had halibut. Presentation was perfect. Timing was perfect. Staff were always there but never in our faces. Like what else can be said.
Been here many times over the years. Never had a bad meal. Almost always had an excellent meal. Food generally includes a collection of seafood and meat. Often interesting creations. A bit pricey but you get high end food. The décor is simple. The wine selection is good and patrons are invited to select a bottle from the collection of... more
Absolute top notch stuff, easily the best meal I've had in St John's. The seafood was absolutely delicious.
Some of the best seafood we have eaten. Best cod I have ever had. Excellent accompanying risotto. We really enjoyed the meal.
Great seafood. Pay a little more here and get alot more inservice!
set aside 2-3 hours to fully enjoy the atmosphere.
While visiting friends in St. John`s, we saw an advertisement for this place rating it a one of the top 100 restaurants in Canada. Fast service, perfect atmosphere, staff know every dish, everything is spotless, every dish cooked to perfection. These people make you feel that you are the reason for their being there, not some inconvenience to their being there.
Our group of 35+ had booked a few months ago. There were only 2servers for us. The first course took over an hour while the main course took 1 1/2 hours! The food was good but not worth the $100 per person before drinks. Our group will not be returning anytime soon.
This highly rated restaurant is over rated. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our meal. When ordering, our guest asked the waiter what dish the person in the next table was eating and he could not say nor did he bother to inquire with the waiter for that table. Our waiter only acknowledged the wait for our meal after we... more
Went for dinner with my husband, inlaws and son based on the recommendation of the concierge at the Sheraton. We loved it. The amuse bouche was a tiny chicken turnover, quite delicious. We enjoyed our dinner at Bianca. The food and wine were excellent as was the service. The chef made a special effort to make a vegetarian meal for me. This is one of our favourite restaurants on our annual trip to St. John's. I never can understand why it is so empty, ... perhaps due to the higher prices. The experience of the staff at this restaurant is noticeable! They understand how to be attentive without being really noticed - A rare talent.

I've been to this restaurant at least thirty times. The food is always excellent. Had dinner at Bianca's on Valentine's day. While the food was tasty, the pricing was outrageous. There was a fixed menu costing $80/person excluding tax and tip for 3 courses. At this price I figured that my salad was $20, steak $50 and dessert $10. I don't see how this pricing can be justified.
Foods really good, good service, romantic quiet atmosphere, maybe a bit overpriced, but I continue to return!
I have several B&B’s downtown. I have always recommended Bianca’s. In I suppose hundreds of guest visits there was only one who had some minor issue and another thought the halibut was wet ……. and I thought “She wanted it the way Mom cremated it, fried for 40 minutes”
I have dined at Bianca’s several times over the years. I have to say i think my lastest experience was truely the best. It is great to see that when an establishment has been in business for so many years that they are still able to be so creative with thier menu. I guess that is part of the secret to their success. Highly recommend it!
Bianca's is definately THE place to eat in Downtown St. John's. One of the best wine selections in the city. Also love the bar next door.
Offering good service and normally great food, I'd recommend Bianca's for a business dinner or for a romantic meal. It's very good for both.Try the Malpeque oysters, the scallops, any of the other seafood choices or the caribou; it's hard to go wrong with any of these options.Desserts are not up to the high standard of the appetizers/starters or the entrees/mains.
