Hotels on Kingsway, Vancouver offer a great location with public transit easily available, and are near the Canada Line and Expo Line for SkyTrain access. Our competitive price is just one way we
Nice and tidy. Nice people. Breakfast contains mainly of sweet and unhealthy stuff + tee and coffee, but this is what people seem to love in North America. The kitchen is open after breakfast hours for tee and coffee and (concentrated) juices.
Pleasant staff and clean hotel. Complimentary breakfast had some good verity and helped get the started quickly and efficiently.
Only problem was that repairmen where installing T.V in breakfast area near food. Now that it is installed everything will be okay
My wife and i visited Vancouver last week,I had picked the hotel with a bit of guesswork as we dont know Vancouver, We both thought it was ideally positioned as it was only a short bus trip to the centre, but was ideally positioned for hanging out with locals, Loved Barnies on Maine street and the Whip just a 5 minute walk away for great drink and meals, Top tip is get an all day... more
It is not close to airport as described. The room is relatively small.
The hotel is very close to all attractions. The max we had to drive was for 30 min to go to capilano bridge. The issue is they do not have bottled water in the hotel not even in the vending machine. Similarly the kitchen closes at 10 PM which becomes a challenge after a long day of travelling. Breakfast was better as it contains all good food but the breakfast room is small.
Went to Vancouver for a short holiday with my son and for the U2 concert. My son had never been to Vancouver and wanted to see several attractions as well as take in the U2 concert May 14, 2015. We didn't want to stay right downtown mainly because of cost but wanted to be close enough to take in attractions. This hotel was well situated within many of the places we wanted to go with transit... more
The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. I appreciated the free, secure, underground parking (as others have noted, the lot is small - but my medium-sized car fit just fine). The room could use some attention and updating.
Perfectly located to the places we needed to be with an awesome staff and facility!
Hot breakfast wasn't very good had more junk food than anything staff was noisy in the am
Great breakfast great price get more then what you pay for manager and people were very nice very helpful as well as a great location near a mall and good food not noisy nice an quiet room
I always stay here when I visit Vancouver, it is very central to a lot of sights and attractions.
Just fine. Liked the quiet room with a view of downtown.
This was a good hotel... I'd probably come here again if I wanted to go sightseeing in Vancouver. Staff was polite and helpful, without being obnoxiously annoying. The beds were clean, and everything seemed well maintained.
Great location, friendly staff, and good value for your dollar. I was disappointed with breakfast in that I'm a vegetarian and the eggs consistently had ham and bacon in them. I think many people are vegetarian or muslim and that there is no reason to not have these ingredients on the side. My room was very cold with no way to adjust the thermostat. It would be better if they did not use Keurig... more
We were in Vancouver on business and stayed in Room 304, which we discovered is the tiniest room in the hotel. Luckily, we spent little time in our room. The short hall inside the room was definitely single file only carrying our bags. Beyond the tightness on entry and a trick toilet that required a special technique to get it to flush properly, we were very pleased. The bed was supremely... more
We spent two lovely nights here and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. There have been a number of upgrades, including the beds, which really added to the overall experience. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely feature, even in the rain!! The breakfast is very good, although the breakfast room is quite small and it makes it difficult to accommodate many people at once. We will visit again!
Very nice staff, central location, clean rooms, free security parking, breakfast iincluded. The only bad thing Very hard beds!
when I arrived in vancouver I phoned to see if I could register sooner than they had suggested and they were very cooperative and told me to come in one hour. The windows in the room open so it is real fresh air. Very clean and bright and quiet. So close to coffee shops and main St.
Hotel was very clean and staff were excellent. Breakfast was good too. Great location if you need quick access to downtown locations. Parking was a little tight in the secure parking due to renovations
The room was adequate. The breakfast was also adequate and comfortable if I ate in my room. the dining room was not comfortable...felt more like the lunch room of a business. The most uncomfortable experience was trying to park. The stalls are too small, the parking lot feels dangerous because it is difficult to see anyone who might be just around the corner. No street parking was available so... more
We needed a hotel in Vancouver that was near downtown with access to public transit. This hotel filled all those criteria. The room was a little small but the overall hotel was more than adequate.
Room small but very clean and modern , good breakfast provided and free parking. Perfect for our needs, will stay there again.
We stay here when travelling to Vancouver, as do our kids and their families, and we are always so glad we do. The best part is the STAFF who go out of their way to accommodate guests. I overhead a staff member saying "We go the extra mile!" and that defines this hotel for us. See you again soon!
We were looking for a moderately priced hotel that was clean, comfortable, and quiet. This hotel met all our expectation and more. We stayed in a king size bedroom on the fourth floor that had obviously been updated in the last couple of years. But beyond that I must commend the cleaning staff for keeping the room, hallways, elevator, all spotless. Not even dust on the lamp shades. The bathroom... more
Staff was nice and answered questions about getting around town. Close to a bus stop and a really cool restaurant The Wallflower.
In downtown Vancouver complimentary parking and breakfast are scarce. So that is a bonus. The staff was extremely helpful, the room exceptionally clean, and where else do you get a Keurig coffee machine? If medical issues bring you to Vancouver, the location is close to numerous facilities.
Although this hotel is not downtown, it is still conveniently located to area tourist destinations via public transportation. The hotel also has the added amenity of free parking. This will save you money during your stay. The hotel is located in an eclectic neighborhood of cafes and restaurants. There is also a grocer and pharmacy nearby.
WE booked for 6 nights and checked out after one. Others were checking out also. Management said it was not a Best Western when they took over and they were renovating the rooms. This should have been done before it became a Best Westenr PLUS!!!!!!If this was our first stay at Best Western inns we would never return to any! It needed re decorating at the least. Our room was barely large enough to... more
We arrived at 11:30 pm, the hotel staff was very helpful and quick about getting us into our room after a long day of travel. We only stayed the one night, but the beds were comfortable and made for a good nights sleep.
We have stayed here 4 or 5 times and it has always been fine. Good check-in and fairly comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The breakfast bar is well maintained but it would be nice if they had better coffee. They have Keurig machines in the rooms so bring your own K cups!!
The hotel was one of 3 options proposed by the travel agent. After verification with online hotel shopping, I got the best price via Best Western customer service on the phone. We had great weather all 4 days. The location is very practical for access to downtown within 10 minutes. The WIFI speed in the room was as expected. Parking... more
We stayed here for a couple of nights last year. No complaints! Interesting layout and location, close to everything, yet only a short ride to the west end.
Lovely room, good service, clean, quiet and enjoyable. Good value for the money. Would stay here again. Breakfasts were good.
Note that the underground parking is NOT friendly to trucks of any...

Front desk is helpful, free breakfast is ok,the underground parking space is a bit tight.
10 min's drive from city centre
There's an Vietnamese restaurant just 1 block away,we tried it and not bad,the hotel has a Italian one too.
Cannot speak highly enough - well appointed room as asked, considering the hotel seemed busy all wk, very quiet of a night, bliss!
Room well serviced every day.
Breakfast - complimentary and good choice.
Location - on good transport link into Downtown.
For the right price, will book again on next visit.
Best Western had very clean rooms, up to date bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff for just over half the price of staying downtown. The bus is a block away to Downtown, Stanley Park, and Granville Island, as well as connecting to the airport via Canada Line on the Skyway. A colourful neighbourhood. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed in Vancouver for seven days at the Best Western Plus Uptown Hotel. Everything was ok: the location was near downtown, very close to a grocery store; rooms were clean and with enough space; breakfast was acceptable. There is just a BIG problem: the parking. If you travel with a car, and if you have a SUV, be prepared... more
We were staying at another property and came to this one.the rooms are clean, the breakfast was great, the rate was reasonable.but parking sucked, but you can park across the street at the shopping plaza as long as you get a pass from the desk. There is a good little restaurant beside the hotel.
Very happy with my stay at this hotel for 2 weeks in May 2014. It is close to downtown, bus ride away from Stanley Park, close to a shopping mall and restaurants and coffee shops! Staff at the hotel are super friendly, including front desk, breakfast, and room service.
Very clean hotel. Friendly, courteous staff. Close to airport and ship port. Would stay there again. Restaurant beside hotel has great food. It was great value for downtown. Is within walking distance to coffee shops and the piers.
Vancouver is one of the world's greatest cities but it is expensive. The Uptown is no exception in the summer but is still the best buy in town. Just got back from a five night stay in this hotel. The hotel is in a good location. You get free parking, free wifi and a breakfast included in the very reasonable price. Want to stay close to downtown Vancouver? This hotel is well run, clean and super value. Good parking available, buses to anywhere are nearby and so is Skytrain. We had 4 rooms with our guests for a family wedding, everyone was happy.
Nice hotel with a reasonable rate. Like the free parking and the breakfast. Closed to Vancouver and not so far from Burnaby! The room especially the 4th four is very clean and smells fresh. Will stay here again.
Excellent overall experience during our five day stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would be interested in stayiong in downtown Vancouver. Continental breakfast was very good with a fair variety of choices. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for all of our luggage.
This hotel offers good value for your money and is close to transit and many dining options nearby on main street. the rooms are clean and a good size, with a coffee maker, mini-fridge (on request) and lots of bathroom toiletries for those packing a carry on. Absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in, almost enough to consider never staying in a Best Western again. This place was a mess.

About 5 mins from the Rio Theatre, if you're planning a late night, its very convenient. Breakfast is included, wifi, many rooms are updated (some not, but you can request one). Good value for the cost.
The hotel was under some renovations but it wasn't disruptive at all. It's going to look great. Good location just off Broadway and close to sky train. The rooms with 2 beds have double beds not queens so they are pretty cozy if you're sharing a bed. I can see the rooms are a bit small for 2 queens though. The shower didn't have a lot of water pressure. Overall it was a good hotel for the price.
I was quite pleased during my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and generous. Staff was nice and helpful. They even have umbrellas to loan to guests which came in very handy!
This hotel was rather unique, at least to me. We had two rooms, adjoining, but we entered a door that was opened by the keys to either room and then we used the same key that would open one room but not the other. The other party could not go into our room, either.

Close to downtown, transit, restaurants. We've stayed here a few times, and the staff remember special requests we made on past trips. Clean rooms. Great breakfast! Love the view of the mountains from our room on 10 Ave. Underground parking is a little tight if you have a large vehicle.
Easy check-in with plenty of underground parking (although I was staying on a Sunday night). Facilities and location don't look amazing from the outside, but the room was surprisingly nice with high ceilings and modern decorations. I was located directly behind reception but the room was extremely quiet. Would stay here again.
The Best Western Uptown was not our first selection of stay while visiting our son in Vancouver for our very first time, but we are very glad we did end up staying there. It was a very friendly staffed hotel, with clean rooms, and conveniently accessible to Downtown City centre.

very crowded breakfast room, a/c noise worked great as "white noise" as a result, I was not bothered by traffic noise. However getting down on hands and knees to adjust a/c was awkward.
Lance (evening shift) and the Little Asian girl (afternoon shift) were

They both should get a raise and/or be promoted, or both ! (:-)

Front desk staff not too informative, it was like it was a lot of trouble to answer questions on directions. No cots available for small children, so not family friendly. No swimming pool, so would look for a more family oreinted accomodation, was expensive for what we got!!!
Staff were very helpful and could not do enough for you. We used the hotel as a base while we travelled round the west coast, stopping there three times. Easy to get downtown via the buses, which were frequent. Plenty of local eating places and bars along main street.
No complaints
only 10 minute walk to skytrain, easy to get downtown; very nice and clean hotel and free parking
I have stayed several times at this hotel as it is the closest to my daughter's home. We always find that it is good value compared to the hotels closer to downtown. The staff are polite and the breakfast choices good.
We recently stayed here. As we were outdoors most of time, this was enough to rest and start mornings with breakfast. The location is in a driving distance and has free breakfast and parking.

There are great restaurants within walking distance but this hotel is not in the heart of the city. This hotel is a great place just to sleep somewhat near the center of Vancouver and get free parking. The staff, however, is courteous and extremely helpful.
The only "complain" is the location. While it is close to downtown area, the surrounding area of the hotel doesn't look appealing at all. But the value is very good: free parking, free wifi, free breakfast.

Just stayed for a night but it was a nice experience, comfortable, clean and large room, I totally recommend it.
A location away from downtown Vancouver can be downside of a hotel, however it is not inconvenient from YVR. And there is a shopping mall just next to this hotel. Mostly important, staff in this hotel are very friendly.
Good location, great service and amenities! I would definitely stay here again.
This has got to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. In general a very pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The only things to mention is limited parking space and limited space in the room where the breakfast is served. But the breakfast is OK and it was nice to experience that there were enough food available also when showing up late for the breakfast
The hotel was convenient to a bus stop, grocery store, restaurants, and laundromat. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast room was too small.
Situé à proximité immédiate des transports en commun, cet hotel permet de sillonner la ville sans problème particulier. Très bon confort pour cette classe, le petit déjeuner compris est un plus. L'accueil est chaleureux. A recommander
Nice room, friendly staff - very clean. Only issue was the parking was in a small, cramped underground garage. So had to find street parking first to check in, then go into the parking garage and get settled. Minor incovenience.
The Best Western Uptown Hotel (Vancouver)was well maintained, neat, and situated well for access to Skytrain, bus links, and the Vancouver Train Terminal. Relatively inexpensive for a Vancouver city hotel. The location on East Broadway is also convenient for many Broadway cafes and restaurants that have some character, such as Our Town Cafe.

Good Cheap Free parking Free internet in rooms Good breakfast, better than most continental breakfasts 10-15 mins from downtown Comfortable beds, Comforel pillows Service staff very professional Bad Small bathroom Reserved one queen, but got two doubles. Breakfast area really cramped
Don't expect LCD TV, cushion mattress, plump duvets. The rooms are small with outdated furnishings but it's clean and in good condition. An adequate place to sleep after day of sightseeing. Breakfast wasn't fancy but good. Oatmeal, cereal, fruits, pastries, juice, coffee, bagels, toast. For the low hotel price, can't complain. Not many hotels offer breakfast. Across street is a supermarket. Not... more
The neighborhood wasn't as good as I expected. Disappointed with location.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again, for business or leisure. The location is excellent for access to downtown Vancouver, the local beaches, Granville Island, or the airport. The rooms are a good size, and clean and comfortable. The breakfast (continental) is fine. Lots of parking underground is available.
This hotel was very adequate. It just wasn't in the best place for being a tourist in Vancouver. Staff was very pleasant and competent. Complimentary continental breakfast was adequate but get there early or lose out.
We were greeted as we entered the lobby and were checked in right away. We got personal help with using the lobby computer to book a flight on-line. The room was small but nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated the black out draperies whenn we wanted to sleep in. Breakfast was just what we wanted to get our day started. The parking garage was a bit cramped and we had to get... more
Appreciated free internet service and had a good continental breakfast. Underground parking is limited. Very clean, well kept
Very nice and clean hotel with helpful and courteous staff. Perfect if you don't need to be close to attractions, but even if, you're not that far away.
This hotel is way nicer than most hotels in its price range. Secure parking, convenient access to a stellar mass transit system, and great restaraunts on kingsway (if you like authentic asian) made our stay amazing. Great staff, and on the 4th floor you get 20' cielings!
Pros: Very Clean Helpful front desk staff. Free parking. Complimentary Breakfast (pastries, cereal, toast, coffee, tea. Really yummy and affordable breakfast at "Salt & Pepper" restaurant next to hotel. Nice view of downtown and mountains from 3rd or 4th floor - make sure to request a room facing downtown. Minor Cons: Room was small and it was a tight walk b/w furniture. (We stayed in a room w/... more
The location was okay, the motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly.
It was a good value being fairly close to downtown. Parking was included in the price, it seems that other hotels in Vancouver and Seattle want an extra charge for parking. Exercise room was open 24 hours with floor to ceiling windows to view the mountains.
