Attractions are very close from the hotel

The hotel is very close to all attractions. The max we had to drive was for 30 min to go to capilano bridge. The issue is they do not have bottled water in the hotel not even in the vending machine. Similarly the kitchen closes at 10 PM which becomes a challenge after a long day of travelling. Breakfast was better as it contains all good food but the breakfast room is small.

Close to Funky Main Street

We spent two lovely nights here and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. There have been a number of upgrades, including the beds, which really added to the overall experience. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely feature, even in the rain!! The breakfast is very good, although the breakfast room is quite small and it makes it difficult to accommodate many people at once. Nice hotel so convenient for medical appointments

when I arrived in vancouver I phoned to see if I could register sooner than they had suggested and they were very cooperative and told me to come in one hour. The windows in the room open so it is real fresh air. Very clean and bright and quiet. So close to coffee shops and main St.

Fit our needs

We needed a hotel in Vancouver that was near downtown with access to public transit. This hotel filled all those criteria. The room was a little small but the overall hotel was more than adequate.

In downtown Vancouver complimentary parking and breakfast are scarce. So that is a bonus. The staff was extremely helpful, the room exceptionally clean, and where else do you get a Keurig coffee machine? If medical issues bring you to Vancouver, the location is close to numerous facilities.

Although this hotel is not downtown, it is still conveniently located to area tourist destinations via public transportation. The hotel also has the added amenity of free parking. Helpful staff, nice accomodations

We arrived at 11:30 pm, the hotel staff was very helpful and quick about getting us into our room after a long day of travel. We only stayed the one night, but the beds were comfortable and made for a good nights sleep.

Best Western had very clean rooms, up to date bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff for just over half the price of staying downtown. The bus is a block away to Downtown, Stanley Park, and Granville Island, as well as connecting to the airport via Canada Line on the Skyway. A colourful neighbourhood. We spent two nights at this hotel, it was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Most of all the staff was really polite, helpfull and available. Worst Service I have ever had

My family stayed at this hotel while my brother was in the hospital at VGH, and almost died. We ended up staying there for over a month, spending over $2000 in total. The hotel was under some renovations but it wasn't disruptive at all. It's going to look great. Good location just off Broadway and close to sky train. The rooms with 2 beds have double beds not queens so they are pretty cozy if you're sharing a bed. I can see the rooms are a bit small for 2 queens though. The shower didn't have a lot of water pressure. Overall it was a good hotel for the price.

Easy Access at a Great Price

Close to downtown, transit, restaurants. We've stayed here a few times, and the staff remember special requests we made on past trips. Clean rooms. Great breakfast! Love the view of the mountains from our room on 10 Ave. Underground parking is a little tight if you have a large vehicle.

Easy stayover while in town for business

Easy check-in with plenty of underground parking (although I was staying on a Sunday night). Facilities and location don't look amazing from the outside, but the room was surprisingly nice with high ceilings and modern decorations. the staff was very friendly and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with many things to choose from. The breakfast was available until 10:30 which was very nice for guests to be able to sleep in. I would definitely recommend this hotel

No Air con the room was very hot and noisy from road traffic.

Front desk staff not too informative, it was like it was a lot of trouble to answer questions on directions. No cots available for small children, so not family friendly. No swimming pool, so would look for a more family oreinted accomodation, was expensive for what we got!!!

Staff were very helpful and could not do enough for you. We used the hotel as a base while we travelled round the west coast, stopping there three times. Easy to get downtown via the buses, which were frequent. Plenty of local eating places and bars along main street.

Family Trip

I have stayed several times at this hotel as it is the closest to my daughter's home. We always find that it is good value compared to the hotels closer to downtown. The staff are polite and the breakfast choices good.

Good Place to Stay

We recently stayed here. As we were outdoors most of time, this was enough to rest and start mornings with breakfast. The location is in a driving distance and has free breakfast and parking.
The basement parking would be tricky for mini-vans size vehicles.

Nice hotel in a central location.

We have stayed here several times before as it is close to medical appointments that I have had. We find the hotel to be comfortable, clean, and affordable. The staff are very friendly and the hotel provides an excellent free breakfast, free parking, and free high speed internet. Overall it provides great value for your travelling dollar.

No Frills

There are great restaurants within walking distance but this hotel is not in the heart of the city. This hotel is a great place just to sleep somewhat near the center of Vancouver and get free parking. The staff, however, is courteous and extremely helpful.

Pleasant stay

The only "complain" is the location. While it is close to downtown area, the surrounding area of the hotel doesn't look appealing at all. But the value is very good: free parking, free wifi, free breakfast.

Good Hotel for the price

The hotel has an excellent location. Close to downtown Vancouver. Free parking (covered) is a big plus in rainy Vancouver. Breakfast is fine as well. To my surprise (even thought we were on the first floor), the room was quiet. I will certainly go back to this hotel next time I visit Vancouver!

Booked at the Best Western because it is walking distance to the inlaws. Was very happy with room, parking and staff and would definately stay there again on our next trip to the mainland.

In general a very pleasant hotel

In general a very pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The only things to mention is limited parking space and limited space in the room where the breakfast is served. But the breakfast is OK and it was nice to experience that there were enough food available also when showing up late for the breakfast

The hotel was convenient to a bus stop, grocery store, restaurants, and laundromat. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast room was too small.

Nice room, friendly staff - very clean. Only issue was the parking was in a small, cramped underground garage. So had to find street parking first to check in, then go into the parking garage and get settled. Minor incovenience.

The Best Western Uptown Hotel (Vancouver)was well maintained, neat, and situated well for access to Skytrain, bus links, and the Vancouver Train Terminal. Relatively inexpensive for a Vancouver city hotel. The location on East Broadway is also convenient for many Broadway cafes and restaurants that have some character, such as Our Town Cafe.

It's simple and clean

Don't expect LCD TV, cushion mattress,plump duvets. The rooms are small with outdated furnishings but it's clean and in good condition. An adequate place to sleep after day of sightseeing. Definitely on my list of hotels to stay at in Vancouver

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, for business or leisure. The location is excellent for access to downtown Vancouver, the local beaches, Granville Island, or the airport. The rooms are a good size, and clean and comfortable. The breakfast (continental) is fine. Lots of parking underground is available.

This hotel was very adequate. It just wasn't in the best place for being a tourist in Vancouver. Staff was very pleasant and competent. Complimentary continental breakfast was adequate but get there early or lose out.

Great location for exploring vancouver

This hotel is way nicer than most hotels in its price range. Secure parking, convenient access to a stellar mass transit system, and great restaraunts on kingsway (if you like authentic asian) made our stay amazing. Great staff, and on the 4th floor you get 20' cielings!

The location was okay, the motel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly.

It was a good value being fairly close to downtown. Parking was included in the price, it seems that other hotels in Vancouver and Seattle want an extra charge for parking. Exercise room was open 24 hours with floor to ceiling windows to view the mountains.
