A newly constructed hotel conveniently located in the Toronto East Business District
This Best Western is located on Estate Dr. in Toronto, which offers easy access to several places. The downside of the location is the horrendous traffic. It took fifteen minutes to drive one block several times during my stay.
The hotel is in major need of an update. There were stains on the fabrics in my room and the place felt very dated. One of the back entrances had large pieces of plywood...

This visit was not a great one. The room was good but had to tell the desk about problems twice. Also TV signal very poor and many channels froze. This happened each day of our 5 night stay. Also the free high speed internet was poor. Sometimes it would hook up,other times not.
This hotel should also look at changing...

I booked this hotel for myself and some friends, when they arrived they were very impressed with the cleanlyness and amenities that this hotel offered and all comented on how pleaseant all of the staff were. From housekeeping right up to front desk staff they all treated us great
Other than one person, the staff was very helpful. We could not get the HVAC thermostat to work correctly. It was either too hot or too cold. The only thin we could do was to keep alternating between heat and cool. On the last night id did finally start working. We had reported it to the man at the front... more
The staff here were very rude, on check out I was accused of smoking in my room! I paid alot for the suit I was in the over all experience was horrid I will never return to that hotel! I was so appalled that they actually came right out and said I had smoked in the room! I have 2... more
No towel in the swimming poor, No staff at the front desk, coffee machine is not working, service is bad, breakfast room is dirty and no one clean the table, this is not a hotel to be recommend to people. They need to improve a lot
Room was clean, overall hotel was clean and nice, staff was very nice. Location is good next to highway. The breakfast is average. Internet absolutely blows. There is only one ice maker I could find in the first floor. Heat/Cooling system was not working right and made some weird noise. Bed was comfortable. Your average hotel, nothing spectacular here.
Clean rooms, modern rooms, amazingly friendlly staff, stayed here in 2013 probably 100 nights..
kind of like a second home then
very Comfortable beds and bedding, nice hotel, good for business travellers, quiet location, good price, keg steakhouse next door. not much else to say except its your average clean new best western hotel.
would recommend to anyone.
the hotel held a group of young hockey players and they were allowed to roam the halls freely and did not have parental control. this is the first time we have ever had this problem and after a hard day we wanted to relax.
I hae done a number of reviews of this facility and I still have a very high impression of this hotel.
I really have zero complaints. OK, one. One of the computers wasn't working all the time of my 4 day stay. If that's the worst it is a fabulous hotel. I arrived late on a Friday night so I...

Front desk day staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Only problem with the hotel was there was no restaurant to eat in. It would've been nice to not have to leave in order to have something to eat.
Great value for money, includes complimentary breakfast. Ideal location for PC Ho theatre (dance comp). Very clean, comfortable beds, extensive choice of in-room movies (many still in theatres). Did not use the pool (no time!) but it looked spotless!
I go down to this hotel very often. Me and my boyfriend stay here every 2 weeks when we are in Scarborough. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The staff is always so happy and friendly. They always remember me when I come in and it makes me feel so welcome. A big thank you to... more
If you are looking for a nice clean place to stay in the east end of Toronto you can't go wrong with this hotel. it has easy access to the 401 and there are several good restaurants in the area. We have stayed at this Best Western a few times before and we were going to Toronto for a funeral on Thursday March 13. Due to the horrible weather, travel advisory and road conditions we requested a late check in on Wednesday night March 12. The highways were closed due to multiple accidents and we did not arrive to the hotel until 6 am on Thursday. The customer service rep was very empathetic... more
Seamless check in, staff pleasant and accommodations clean.
We were in a local hockey tournament and this hotel gave us a convenient place to hang our hat. Overall, acceptable experience. This review requires 200 characters, so let's try this again. Still not long enough, so I'll type some more.
very clean, new hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, usual full breakfast, has a nice automatic van houtte coffee machine...fresh cup every time. Bed was a little hard for my liking but i still slept well.
Prior to the toilet overflowing at 9:30 pm at night was the icing on the cake. Our room was 25c and it is March! Blood stain on one of the duvet toppings...which was promptly changed when I complained. Toilet overflowed at 9:30 at night and no staff was available to plunge it or clean floor so we had to do... more
Excellent staff and location. Just off Hyw 401 and Markham road. Very considerate staff. Breakfast was reasonably good. Parking was always available. Clean laundry facility. Cleaning staff was very helpful. Very clean bathroom. Kitchen staff was very helpful.
When we first arrived I could smell a strong cleaning scent. Maybe it was to portray a clean room, but the left over ritz crackers besides the couch couldn't be hidden. My thermostat in the room had a dead battery, so I had to manually remove the thermostat and go get batteries from the front desk and re-mount it. After that my toilet decided to overflow (I urinated). I contacted the front desk... more
If you are looking for a clean quiet place that is close to restaurants and major highways this is the place to be. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff very pleasant. The complmentary breakfast was hot and ample. It was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room to keep drinks cold.
No hiccups, just nothing special. Would have expected more from a BW Executive Plus
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Executive Inn recently for one of the most unpleasant of reasons (my father's funeral), having travelled some 40 hours from Mozambique. Although they didn't know the reason for our trip, so we did not get special treatment, the staff were from start to finish just about the most pleasant and welcoming people I have ever dealt with. If one finds oneself stranded away from home, this is the place to stay, the Best Western Estates Plus! With a GREAT and Friendly staff, a convenient location and a Fresh Hot Breakfast also! We would STRONGLY recommend this hotel to friends and family!!!!
Not near much of interest, but suited our purposes nicely. Comfortable and affordable.
This is a quiet, nicely appointed motel just off the 401 at McGowan rd, Scarborough. Close to the Metro Zoo, Scarborough Town Centre, public transportation. Excellent staff, very clean rooms, good hot breakfast.
very convenient location and the staff were very helpful.
there were hair all over pillows, and towels, pillows cases were also stained. breakfast was terrible. eggs were rubbery to taste and texture.
Decent hotel at a good price. I booked a king room, but got a double queen. When I asked about it, I was told that the king was only available for the 1st night of my stay, and would have to move the next night to the queen room(!?). The room shouldn't have been "available" in expedia if not for the whole stay. I never thought to tell the desk to put whomever booked a king on 'my 2nd night'... more
We arrived early to our hotel, it was easy to get to from the 401. It is a great location.
Fantastic service, very clean and tidy hotel. Great value for the price. Free parking, hot breakfast,in room microwave, convinient location. Just a few things that set them apart from a lot of other hotel chains out there.
I stay at this hotel often. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent! I really enjoy that the hotel puts your check out receipt under your door through the night so you don't have to check out in person.
On an annual winter week-end at a pool, I stayed at this motel recently with my wife and 3 granddaughters. We had no problem getting adjoining rooms and extra towels.

Well worth the stay. Good value. Easy access to highway and thus other parts of the city. Plan on a little longer travel times to get places by car from this location, but not bad at all. Decent hot and cold breakfast, typical things you would expect from this type of hotel. No worries about staying here again.
This is the hottest hotel we have ever stayed in. The common areas are like saunas. In December we are putting on air conditioning to try to cool down the rooms. Otherwise, it is a nice hotel. I needed additional towels the first night, and received them immediately.
Stay spoiled by neighbours in room immediately next door who partied from 12:45 am till 8:00 am. The boisterous voices and behaviour which included bouts of yelling and wrestling, combined with the constant loud TV/music made for a most unpleasant stay. Though the hotel staff were informed of the problem they did little to curtail it. The staff seemed unconcerned that our stay was an unpleasant... more
Stayed there in the first week of Dec. Room was cosy n comfy. The sheets were clean n the bathroom was neat. A little suggestion the hotel could have added some toothpaste in the toiletries. The cleanliness of the towels was good. The breakfast was ok in terms of variety and good in taste.

We found that this hotel met our needs very well. The room, while not luxurious, was comfortable, quiet and clean. The free Wi-Fi, free parking and hot breakfast added value to the low rate. There is easy access to and from the 401, but did not... more
There isn't much around it but hotel is located near 401 so it is easy to travel about Toronto. Rooms are a good size with a microwave & fridge. There is a fitness center. The breakfast is included but the pastry is usually stale, there is limited fruit & yogurt available and the machine coffee is just plain awful.
If you are used to cheap hotels, this hotel is okay. It's clean, the internet and parking are free, and there's free coffee. If you're driving across Canada and you need a place right off the 401 to stop for the night, it's fine.

Hotel was very close to hospital, very clean and quiet. Restaurants very close as well. Excellent full b/fast, very clean room. Would have liked more sport channels, but would higly recommend this Best Western
This hotel is a good value not far off 401. The breakfast and pool are better than average.
We had to ask to move from the original room because although they said it was a non smoking it's obvious that someone had smoked in that room and you could smell it the moment you walk through the door. Another issue I encountered is the bathroom sink took a long time to drain the water so some one should take a look at that and fix it.
1/ Horrible front desk service. Threre was 2 people at the front desk and I was the only one in line. One attendant was on her computer system doing something while the other one was doing nothing. My wife and I try to get away at least for a night on our anniversary. This year we tried Best Western Pro and we liked it. We would recommend it to anyone.
The staff were very polite and professional. The hotel seems a bit older but everything was in good working order and the room was well maintained and clean. I found there were few local amenities in walking distance, which was somewhat inconvenient.
This is a nice hotel, and definitely good value for money. The bed is super-comfy and I like having a couch in the suite as well; it's much more comfortable for eating and watching TV. The continental breakfast is pretty good, although I wish they would stay away from those powdered scrambled eggs and had more than one waffle iron.... more
We stayed here for one night on our way from Maine to Michigan. It was very comfortable and convenient. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was great, and the wifi worked really well. I god what I expected for the price paid for the stay. Location is very close to the highway. Staff at the check-in counter were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was average. Coffee/tea machine outside the breakfast area was quite helpful for late arrivals.
Hey, maybe that is all someone wants in a room. It was 115 a night, which for me is a little high. Price check that against the surrounding area, and maybe that is average. The hotel itself was wonderful. It was clean and very close to the main thoroughfare of the 401. Even though it was close to the freeway, it is pretty busy almost all the time. We used the public transportation to get to downtown Toronto and the hotel was a 7-9 minute drive from the RT. There were also quite a few good eats in the area as well.
The hotel was located right off the 401, which made it very convenient. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The king suite was great for the night stay over, but would be small for an extended stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This was a very clean hotel with friendly, professional staff. I really felt that I got more than my money's worth out of this stay (in a King Executive suite). The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was very clean and spacious, and they allowed us a late check-out (12 noon) with no extra charge.
Beautiful hotel, with free WIFI and all amenities including breakfast. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The Keg restaurant a few steps away provided superb food with fabulous service. I will stay here again.
Everything else about this hotel was excellent! The couch in our room was dirty/stained. We did not use it. There were still decorations taped to the mirrors from a previous "party" in the room. Stayed for 2 nights, located off highway 401, close to family and friends we were visiting. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and the pool was perfect for the kids. The staff were friendly, curteous and accommodating. I would book this place again on our next visit to Toronto.
Very clean room and friendly staff. It was a great stay other than the king size bed was a bit to hard for my liking. The room was great I would stay again and the breakfast was very good.
This is my second stay at the best western the standard of service is consistently acceptable.
I usually am reluctant to give negative reviews, but our stay was very disappointing. The staff on check-in was okay, not bad but not great. The room was fairly clean and more than what I was expecting from a hotel of this size, the only thing that really brought it down was the breakfast in the morning, the eggs, I don't know what exactly they were made of but I'm pretty sure they were not actually eggs.
Our stay was great. The staff we're VERY helpful with finding somewhere to order dinner and go for breakfest.
It was ok a little far from where we wanted to be...nice hotel but our room had a few problems...the bathroom door lock broken, fan in bathroom broken. Coffee machine no where to plug it in. Breakfast room not big enough for everyone to sit down or get their food, very crowded. Staff was nice and friendly. Not sure if I would stay there again.
Hotel generally okay but king size bed was hard, uncomfortable and neither myself or my wife had a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and hospitable as opposed to the lady working in the breakfast area, who was downright rude.
We stayed for one night and it was extremely hot outside. The AC in our room was great but the rest of the hotel was brutally warm. We took our continental breakfast back to our room. Thank goodness for the pool. We had it to ourselves. Overall we had a good experience.

Refused to refund fee for room booked, even though I called an hour after booking. Front desk manager would not even offer a deal on a future stay so we got stuck with a bill for a room we never used.
We were looking for a hotel near the Ontario Science Museum and the Toronto Zoo. Unfortunately it was a short stay, but we enjoyed friendly and good nature staff and costodial service, clean room and comfortable beds, and a refrigerator came handy. The continental breakfast was typical but clean and generous. I will definetly recommed it to my friends. Keep up the good work!
Needed a location in Scarborough close to relatives for a family birthday. Chose this Best Western primarily due to its location with easy access to the 401 and also due to it having free parking and a continental breakfast. There was only one restaurant close and it was a steak house. Which was an improvment.
