Better Than Expected

Great location but no real competition

Very happy customer
April 21, 2014This hotel is currently under renovations but you would never notice. The rooms are amazing and the beds are super comfortable. The fitness room is new and has lots of different equipment to suit various fitness needs. I would go out of my way to stay at this hotel again.

Good hotel and very helpful staff

We took two rooms, they were a nice size, clean and well furnished. Decoration is fine, but functional, not fancy.
Our rooms were to the rear and just a view of a bank of trees.
Breakfast room has view of lake.
Breakfast buffet selection good, including hot sandwiches and DIY waffles.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly.
Well run/organised hotel.

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet
November 24, 2013I visit Sioux Lookout fairly regularly and this is always my first choice for hotels. Hotel is kept up to date (renovations inside and out are ongoing, but in no way disrupt your stay) and the staff is excellent. Breakfast room is clean and well stocked, guest rooms are more than adequate for business stays.

I have stayed in this Best Western once twice a year for a number of years on business trips. most recently in September 2013.
Hotel is your typical well kept and clean Best Western. Helpful, friendly staff, large rooms with desk to work at, basic on-site breakfast (toast, cereal, bagels, coffee, juice). Internet provided free and worked well.

Best place to stay in Sioux Lookout, Ontario
September 26, 2013This is the best place to stay. The hotel is clean, has comfortable beds and completely non-smoking. The rooms are also big in size and thoroughly clean. A nice light breakfast is available everyday with a beautiful view of the lake.

Clean, safe, and reasonable
June 29, 2013After traveling 10 hours (5 in a plane)it was nice to arrive in Sioux Lookout. Never been this far North and what a nice surprise. Hotel was very clean and updated. We just needed a place to rest for 1 day. If you are driving through this part of the country this is the place to stay.

April 02, 2012I stayed at the Best Western, Sioux Lookout for three nights while on business. The hotel met all my expectations of a standard chain hotel. The room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable - tempurpedic of similar foam type mattresses. The staff were efficient and helpful. No problems connecting to the interent - an important point for me.

Stayed at the Best Western for two nights while on a hockey tournament. We found that the people at the front desk were efficient, and friendly.
Our room was very clean and decorated nicely.
Only complaint was that the pool was closed. I guess there was a pump out. It would have been not to bad if it was closed...

November 12, 2011Comfortable enough hotel. The room was standard fare for a chain hotel such as this. Odd that the coffee making facilities are based in the bathroom as opposed to the main bedroom itself. Breakfast was not very appealing, and choice is meagre. It's a no-fuss hotel that's adequate when you're just passing through.

This hotel is by far the best in Sioux Lookout. Though you may expect to pay a price premium it is well worth it. I stayed at the hotel for several weeks while working with MNR fire crews.
