Had anearly morning apointmnet on Nov.5th/09 at the Cross Cancer Clinic. Made a reservation for Nov.3rd and 4th due to prep on 4th. Medical rate was good and service was excellent, both the hotel staff and the restaurant staff. They were very helpful in all ways and also in giving directions as we are 160 miles out ot town.Would certainly recommend this hotel to others. Thank you.
ABSOLUTELY GROSS! We were attending a wedding so when we checked into our hotel, we had to leave shortly after to go to the reception. Well the first thing I thought when I went in the room was it smelled kinda off.. But I thought it was just the air freshener. When we arrived back to the hotel in the middle of the night & were trying to sleep I noticed that smell again & I figured out what it... more
We WERE desperate that night. Our reservation at another hotel was misplaced so we spent an hour scrambling for a room at 7pm at night. The only one we could find to accommodate our family was this hotel. Let's just say, it's dated. You'll noticed that from the get-go. It's an older hotel. That's fine, but at least it could be clean. Seeing the cleaning lady still working (in a black t-shirt... more
We stayed two nights (Thurs. & Fri.) and found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has undergone recent updates and the lobby and rooms are fine. We enjoyed the food in the Seasons Grill. There are many nearby restaurants and services. We would happily stay there again.
RIP OFF PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK I stayed there one night they added $100. for incidentals the room only cost $82.00. Then there were charges 0f $182.00 plus $176.00 and $49.00 charged on my credit card. which cause 4 overdraft fees of $140.00 Clearly their mistake. They refused to pay the overdraft fees so they cost me $140,00 more..This place is run by thieves. If this hotel was in the US... more
No a/c that you can control. Temp kept in the high 20s. Phone and wall plates dirty with grime. Non-smoking room smells of smoke. I just got here and I'm writing this review, finding an alternative and getting out...now.
Not recommended! We booked through the Best Western website for several nights for our family vacation. I had stayed there once before and the power on one wall was out, so we only had a couple lights and no tv. For our second trip, my husband and I arrived with our four children, they said the room wouldn't be ready for several hours (past the check-in time). Later they said that the people... more
I had received one complementary nights stay and decided to use it before it expired- Im glad I did, I checked room availability several nights before I booked- I actually booked the afternoon of my stay at 2 pm and was offered a 3:30 check in which I thought was pretty good. I arrived at 5:45 and there was no line ups and the lobby seemed empty. Not too many people in the lounge or restaurant... more
The hotel was as expected ... for it's price ... i enjoyed the service at the front desk
I give this hotel good mark in general.
I had requested a pet friendly room and the room given to me was so small that only 1 person could walk at a time......the AC was not working properly and the front desk was not at all friendly.
Would never recommend this hotel to anyone ever
Eventhough our stay was only for a night, it was satisfying and hassle free. The room was a standard sized, neatly maintained with a well stocked washroom.Plenty of garbage cans at the right spots. The breakfast was excellent and served in the spacious restaurant.A good varity of items such as pancakes, scambled eggs, hashbrown, cakes, muffins and hot coffee served at the table which unique to us.
when we went for breakfast, the lady tried to have us in and out as soon as possible, we felt rushed and its probably because our breakfast was included in our stay.
I have spent many nights at the CPI. Always found it nice, comfortable and reasonably priced. Over the last year and a half I have over 60 nights there. As of late service and quality has deteriorated. The front staff has been rude and unreasonable, I now have a great new hotel in Edmonton...stay away from Cedar Park Inn
booked a room on the net for 5 days. they list an oversized room and i thought that would be great. the room was no bigger than any other so i went to the front desk to complain and was told that it was their executive suite we were in. the girl said i could contact the manager the next... more
I travelled with friends and being excited to get home to the family, I did not do the room check before we left. Thankfully, all we left behind was my coat. I called, twice and it took 2 days for housekeeping to call me back. I explained the situation and they offered to send me my coat, I live in... more
This place needs a reno... badly. This hotel is what you'd expect to find in a small town - not in a city like Edmonton. Very outdated and smells like it too. Beds were OK - fairly comfortable. Don't bother with the restaurant in the hotel - there are many restaurants nearby that are far better for the same price.
everything about the hotel was excellent...service, food, cleaniless, comfort. except the quality of the internet connection. wireless gives poor signal at best, and I tried this all around the hotel. this is awful for business travellers and I don't have time to troubleshoot using their support.
Fine and comfortable but the hallway (second floor) smells of smoke and the night person really didn't seem too interested in helping.
The Cedar Park Inn is just that - comfortable and adequate. The decor is almost too 70s/80s, although the painted flowers on each blue door was probably a remainder from when it known by another name. It's just not a hotel that stands out nor one that gets a traveller excited. The Seasons restaurant was actually very good. We had... more
We just stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament and left after the first night. They were infested with ants. The front staff was unconcerned and stated that they could come and clean our room again and when they came up we pointed out the ants covering the hallway carpet , and then they opened the door to the... more
Just returned home after 3 nights at this hotel for a hockey tournament. The first thing you notice about this hotel when you enter is the smell of old smoke and old food, and the 2 homeless guys, one in the parking lot and one in the lobby trying to bum money off of people wasn't great either. So, our... more
During the first week of March i stopped over in Edmonton for 1 night before leaving the country for a 2 week vacation. My plan was to visit West Edmonton Mall for the day. Originally I was planning on renting a car but $100/day seemed a little expensive for one night. My flight out of the country the following day... more
The good first. Cheap, friendly & take pets. The bad. Loud; as in you can hear everyone beside and above you. That includes tv's, voices and plumbing. Smells old and any tobacco use lingers throughout.
I found this hotel on TripAdvisor and decided to go with it because of the price. The location of this hotel was excellent as I was going to a concert in Rexall Place after driving 4 hours to Edmonton. It was easy to get to from the Queen Elizabeth II Highway and then continue up to the concert venue. The... more
We stayed three nights at this hotel while visiting family in Edmonton. We had a suite with two rooms and a king bed. There were two flat panel TVs which was nice and a couch plus love seat so you had some room. There was a microwave with the coffee stuff where they had two (small) bottles of water with... more
My wife and I stayed at the hotel from Thursday to Sunday inclusive, in early July, 2008, and would certainly go back. Contrary to other reports I've read, we didn't hear a train once and wouldn't have even known there was a train track running behind the hotel had we not been told. Other than for some street traffic from... more
This hotel is in a pretty good location. There are many resteruants/fast food places to pick from close by.
We were in Edmonton to attend a major event. Even though this is an older hotel, we found it to be clean and comfortable. What was outstanding was that there was no road noise whatsoever. Our room was at the front of the hotel over the entrance. We have travelled a lot and never experienced such quiet nights, great for... more
My finace and I wanted to have a romantic mini vacation after a particularly stressful week. We wanted a jacuzzi suite and Cedar Park Inn had one left, so we took it. With the hefty price of $380.00, we were extremely disappointed with the room. I thought I saw dirt in the tub, but it was just a bad stain.... more
The rooms were nice the service was alright. It had a pool and a fitness room and a good restaurant. Definetly a place to stay in Edmonton.
I checked into the cedar park inn, after having a room booked at a diffrent hotel. The hotel i was suppose to stay at had lost my reservstion, and were unable to accomadate me. The staff at the front desk at the cedar park inn, were very heplfull. I was stressed when i arrived and they made me feel realxed... more
