Stayed here for the first time as my regular place was sold out. Wasn't bad. Normal motel room but could tell it had been recently reconditioned. Don't like the bed spreads at any hotel these days. Prefer that the hotels do aways with them so bedding is always fresh for the next guest. Breakfast was a good hot and cold... more
Our company has been staying at BCMI for months at a time. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The rooms are clean, quiet, affordable, and at a nice location. The staff are amazing and are quick to put up with any of our employee's needs. Irene Folz the general manager is the best! She is so helpful and a... more
Don't recommend this hotel. Keys to room didn't work, every time we needed to get into the room we had to walk across the street to the office for desk clerk to the open room. They told us this has been a problem for awhile, so why isn't the problem fixed. Only gave 10.00 off the price of the room that... more
Had to stay here because everything else in town was booked. I think I'd rather sleep in my truck. What a dump. My coworker had mouse poop in his room, my heater didn't work worth a damn. Parking is not very good.
clean, quite and nice service.
Breakfast included.
Location was fine for me , Riverfront Park is across the street.
may be not fun for families but for sure a good choice for short business trip if a cost effective stay.
We have stayed here a few times in the past five years, and it's sadly getting worse and worse.
Let's start with the good at least - the staff are really wonderful, helpful and friendly, and when this BCMI closes it's doors, as no doubt it will, one of the new hotels that are opening up in the area would...

The front desk staff were very nice and friendly at check-in. Since I'm boycotting visa, there was a damage deposit of $200.00 (which I got back upon check out)on top of $105 for the room. I asked for a renovated room, with an outside door. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, clean carpets, clean bathroom. There was a... more
Oh boy where do i start, first when i called two and a half weeks before to book my rooms i was told by a snobby girl that there were none available not convinced i called at night and a friendly lady told me that there were rooms available....go figure then i called a few days later to change my... more
This is the second worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I needed to stay in Peace River for work and thought it would be as good as other hotels in the chain. I was wrong. It is an old run-down dump. It stank and the bed was broken. The furniture was ratty. The noise from the highway was annoying.... more
Every year we drive from Yellowknife to Edmonton. Every year we stop at the BCMI in Peace River, because it is the only hotel with a water slide.
Every year we are amazed at the poor condition of the hotel. This year reached new heights!
Our room had several different types of stains on the carpet in the room. It...

Our arrival at the hotel after a long, hot trip was met with indifference by the check-in staff, who gossiped and chatted while we stood, waiting, in the shabby "lobby". Ultimately, we were given a small, dirty, and incredibly filthy room on the second floor of the property's second building across the street.
I was met with an overpowering stench...
