Lovely log restaurant
August 19, 2014Good food at reasonable prices. Much better than the fast food choices that are the same as in any location. The Bear's Claw has some gift items for sale and provides an authentic western flavor.

Nothing but tasteless frozen food
August 07, 2014Stopped here while passing through but should have checked TA before eating here. First, restaurant concept is confusing - sports theme decor but menu didnt even have any burgers or food that one would associate with beer and sports. Good food and awsome service
July 27, 2014Stopped for a burger and fries for dinner with mom and it was good, the cook did a good job cooking the food. The young waitress there was super cute and was very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its a cool place to check out on your trip through Cache Creek.

Second rate
July 08, 2014This lodge looks very nice from the outside, being constructed of huge logs. The room I stayed in had adequate air conditioning, which was its saving grace. Enjoyable stay
July 06, 2014We stayed here for one night while visiting family. Our room was small, but cozy so we didn't mind. Staff were very friendly. Reasonable room rate, clean and comfortable. Had an excellent meal at the restaurant. We will definitely stay here again!

Reasonably Priced with a Restaurant On-Property

Could do much better

We were disappointed with some things that were lacking.
We has a little wait to register as the staff were busy cleaning the lobby.
We also had a long wait when we went to make inquiries and were unable to get Sandy after ringing the bell several times. Eventually Hollie helped with our queries.

Excellent value for your money
September 22, 2013We looked at tripadvisor and saw this hotel rated number 1 - thinking it may be the most pricey in town. We foudn that the rooms were a great deal for such a cheap rate, The rooms were a good size, and clean. We only stayed the night but found it to be a great road stop.

The lodge looks good from the outside...all logs and lodge like but actually it is a motel where you park next to your room. And that's okay, too.

Nice place
September 07, 2013In a beautiful spot with great views, sit on the covered veranda in the morning drinking your coffee. We loved the antiques in the lobby and restaurant. We picked up some souveniers in the gift shop. The only thing missing was coffee makers in the rooms. Restaurant food was ok, very fast service.

The room was pretty good value and it was clean and functional. It had a spartan loghouse pioneer aesthetic and a comfy chair would have been a nice addition.
