It was crazy busy mid-December​ but it was Saturday night so that much was to be expected. The food was perfectly fine and the waiter was nice enough but the ​service was slow and the atmosphere was very chaotic. For what it is, it's a little bit overpriced​ but it is one of the few places I've been that serves higher end "Canadian" food

A limited but awesome breakfast menu. I enjoyed the avocado toast (4 stars), peameal bacon (5 stars but bacon almost always gets five stars) and alfajores (5 stars!). The staff was super friendly and the decor was really nice. I'll be back (probably for lunch today!).

Below are the issues I had with what I got,

This place pairs impeccable service with a great list of comforting food options, with pleasing choices for vegetarians, pescetarians and meat-lovers. The atmosphere is best described as relaxed; this is not a formal place, and you really can just sit and enjoy a quiet meal.

Near the Sheraton

That's why I chose it. There is very little "grown-up" around there when Osgood is closed. It worked out ok but to chat with an old friend I would have preferred somewhere a lot quieter and less frantic. But its good to have on a B list. The service started off slow, but improved and was fine. My friend loved her tourtiere, but my pizza was so-so.

Good Food

The food was good and nicely portioned. The service was great and quick to address our questions. We asked for recommendations which were presented well and according to our dietary restrictions. The only slight negative was that the noise level at times got to a point where I couldn't hear the person sitting across of me. Other than that it was great.

Bannock gets it right in every way

Everything about this restaurant is exceptional. The food, service and value are all fantastic. I've been many times, enough times that it's clear that they value their staff, their patrons, and the quality of food they're serving. Would absolutely recommend Bannock for anything from a casual lunch to a nice romantic dinner.

Salty dish

I recently went with a friend for lunch and we had both ordered the haddock and shrimp cake with chips. We found the fries to be salty as well as the fish cake. I previously had the crab cake during this past winterlicious and it was delicious! I was expecting the same foe this dish but was let down.

Unique Canadian Experience

Bannock serves local food and gourmet Canadian specialties at a very reasonable price.
I brought my parents there for them to try what is Canadian food outside of burgers and poutine. They loved it! Very nice place for a chill get together on special occasions, with family or friends. Too bad that the noise level gets very loud when the place is full.

The restaurant was very crowded and loud. It was hard to hear my date speaking when we were sitting across the table from each other. We had dinner there with my parents during the week - for Summerlicious.
Once again the menu exceeded our expectations. The service was great and very accommodating to our time restriction to be out before the theatre began.

Not surprised, and that's good

Bannock met the standards that all O&B restaurants have. Great ambiance, food and service. This particular O&B is great for lunch, whether you're looking to sit down for an hour or two, or grab something to do. Service is excellent and food is always amazing!

Went there for Summerlicious

The salad was very good, pickled watermelon was something that I had not tasted before and I liked it very much. For main dish I had their fish pie which I did not like very much, it was more like mashed potato pie and I did not like the taste. For desert I had apple fritter which tasted great and I recommend it.

Bannock had, by far, the best service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Although, the food was way too salty, dessert was delicious and when we had a problem with one of our orders the waiter was more than happy to help us. i love the convenience of making an on-line reservation, but hate it that at Bannock they call you to saying you need to call back to "confirm" - might as well have just called them in the first place. When i do an on-line bank transaction the bank doesn't make me come in or call to confirm, not sure why these guys think it makes sense and is necessary

I suppose it was summerlicious lunch, so of course at Bay and Queen it would be a little bit louder..

Standard Canadian fare gets a modern update with sometimes safe, sometimes questionable twists. While the food is well prepared, nothing can get past the fact that it feels like a department store cafeteria, as the restaurant shares a window with the neighbouring Hudson's Bay.

Bannock is all about Canadian comfort food and the menu contains an eclectic selection that should satisfy most tastes. I popped into Bannock on a cold wet Saturday night without a reservation, on my way to the opera at the Four Seasons Centre just down the street. I was given a table and was delighted with the food. We decided to have dinner at this restaurant as it was very close to our hotel. Did not realize it was part of the Oliver and Bonnacini group until we were there. Tried a few times, however not good for my wife

We have been to Bannock before. It was not the most favourable visit, but it was a place that I wanted to go. I love the atmosphere, it is a slice of Canadiana, which flows right in to their food.

Great place to sit down and eat after a shopping spree

This place is located right outside Hudson Bay dept store and Eaton Centre mall is just across the street. It offers an innovative menu, mixing classical flavors with experimental changes thereto. Fingerlicking good, that is. Would visit again and highly recommend it. Friendly staff, quick service despite the fact that the place was packed!

This place is conveniently located downtown near the south end of the Eaton Centre. The menu has some nice versions of standard dishes and its own creations. Service is friendly and attentive. This is a very nice, simple restaurant. There's no extra fluff found in other of the O&B restaurants. I go to dinner here almost every week. The staff are always friendly (to me and the people eating around me). Free WIFI is nice too. The sweet potato fries are the best I've had.

The food was pretty good. They cook better than I do. It was a bit pretentious, however and the descriptions by the waiter were ridiculously embellished with questionable vocabulary.

They don't take lunch reservations, and caring not to wait 30 minutes, we decided on the Grab and Go counter. The pulled pork pocket was good, but too large, rich and messy for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are good but pricey for the size. Grab and Go means you're relegated to an unserved area on high benches at wooden tables, so there's little to be said for the service.
