Great place in a perfect location

Second time staying here. Close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were the perfect way to relax after skiing. Slightly noisy at night with various events happening in the hotel but overall a great stay. Will return!

Excellent valet service.. Wow!

The valet brought my vehicle to me. My back window was dirty ... So he offered to take it back down to clean for me! When I got my vehicle back.. the whole vehicle had been washed! OUTSTANDING service!

Ski retreat

Our stay was good. Rooms were ok but location is what we really enjoyed close to downtown.

Close to everything

This hotel is close to the city of banff and all of its restaurants and other attractions. Worth the stay.

Only in Banff can you get away with it!

Hotel is clean but dated. Owners are definitely taking advantage of a captive market. Would be nice to see some renos to upgrade the rooms to a lodge look. Instead they look like a 1970s motel. Even the Jacuzzi suite!

Excellent Hotel, near Downtown.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a bit limited so arriving early in the day is ideal. 3 parking lots at sister hotels to choose from so you will be able to find a spot otherwise they will provide complimentary valet. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. We will stay here on our next stay in Banff.

Wonderful Hotel

I have stayed at the Banff Park Lodge before and remembered it being really nice and centrally located so when my husband and I decided to stay in Banff again I definitely wanted to stay at the Banff Park Lodge again. Nice hotel, good location.

We stayed only one night waiting out a snow storm. Room was comfortable and clean, although the bathroom was a little dated. We enjoyed the health facilities, particularly the Eucalyptus Steam Room and the pools. The casual restaurant upstairs made us an excellent linguine for dinner. Went there for the all-you-can-eat buffet brunch on Sunday. Food was ok, definitely not worth $28 considering most people can't even eat that much. I had 2 friends who literally had one cup of orange juice each and that cost them $4 each.

But the worst part was that they automatically included a 18% gratuity on the bill.... at a buffet!?! The waiter only came by once! Then on the bill it... more

Delicious Sunday brunch. Great seafood selection! Service was outstanding. I took away a star due to the ambience, its a little 70's and is in need of a cosmetic facelift (new carpets, ditch the orangey toned oak etc)

The food was phenomenal though and covers all manner of sins. We almost booked our wedding here, but decided against it due to the decor.... more

Great room and a reasonable price!

Got the jacuzzi suite over the Canada long weekend, for just over $300/night taxes in. In a regular day that price is significantly less.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the area and eager to help.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with modern linens and a pillow menu. The jacuzzi is big, easily fitting two people. It is also clean (for now!)

Spring Ski Trip

A very friendly reception at check in set the tone for our five night stay. Throughout our stay, staff were courteous and proactively helpful.Our room was spacious and comfortable and kept spotless by the friendly cleaning staff. Very clean hotel with great views of the Rockies. Easy access to all the Banff has to offer. A quick 5minute walk to the center of town where you have access to shops and restaurants.

Booked our room through expedia and got a great deal with free parking.

Stayed here 3 nights. Hotel is cheap for banff and kinda run down. Former chef retired so that was a let down as have known him for over 20 years

This place was fantastic! We had a huge shower taking up 1/2 the bathroom wall with several settings! I love that the pool sauna and hot tub stay open until midnight!
And the location is perfect!
The bed was super comfortable and the in room coffee was even local, I thought that was such a nice detail.
You can also order pillows if you have a preference!

Stayed here on a travelzoo voucher for two nights. Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at in banff, even the famed Fairmont Banff Springs was disappointing, but I found this to be very clean, with updated fixtures, comfortable beds, and brand new flat LCD tv. Overall, the hotel was good and location perfect. The room, while dated, was clean and the amenities such as the pool area was great (although busy). The downside is that they charge for things many hotels offer for free (parking, wifi, etc) and the restaurant/lounge are nothing spectacular. Good-but deposit

We spent 5 nights in this hotel. Location is great, room was enough big, clean, etc. There is no parking place close to the hotel, but you can park in the garage for 10 usd/day, i think its a correct price. great value

the hotel is nothing special, but nice. You definitely get more than you pay for. Second time staying here and I discovered how nice the view from the hot tub is. It's a difficult location being so far from downtown, but for the price, I'll gladly make the walk.

Fine hotel

It was a decent hotel in a good location in Banff - both downtown and hiking are just a few hundred yards away.

The Banff Park Lodge is a beautiful place to stay

Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Friendly professional service as soon as you register. It's located one block from all the shops, so very convenient for walking. The room was very bright and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Expectations were definately met.

Clean rooms, nice spa...had to pay for parking and wifi.
In this day and age who charges you to use Wi-fi ..comon man.
The rooms were nice and big...the spa was amazing with a nice steam room to boot.
Staff was mehhhhh...and i also paid 19.99 for parking.

I would recommend the Banff Park Lodge as a nice hotel for people to stay at. The rooms are nice and clean, , but it is an older hotel, and there are quirks. Banff Park Lodge is located a block away from the heart of the Banff townsite. On a winter stay, this is great because walks are short to everything. happy with the stay

i ate at the lodge's restaurant, they have 3 of them. i did not eat at the most expensive one. prices good, food great. i would go back.

Basic in Banff

The hotel was exactly what I expected-- clean and basic, and a good value for the money. Staff were very friendly. Linens could use updating (slightly worn bedspread), but I had a wonderful mountain view from my balcony. If I wanted to splurge, I'd stay at the Fairmont in Banff, but I was there to hike and had no complaint.

Birthday weekend!

Even though we were given a room in the furtherest part of the hotel, and our balcony view was of a tree that obstructed our view, for the price and location it was so very nice! The beds and the amenities were great!
