I've been here a few times and am always pleased with the food, Service, and atmosphere. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out.
I went to this pub with a group of 5 people on a very busy night, while only two servers seemed to be working. Considering how busy it was, I can understand why the service was on the slower side. Not to mention it was our servers' 2nd shift. The poor girl seemed lost.
Our server did make some mistakes,...

We stayed in Bala and one evening decided to go to the pub for dinner. The small place was packed due to people watching the soccer and we stood at the door a good 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging we were there. Other patrons gave up their table as they were leaving, we still sat for a long time and... more
This is our favourite pizza spot in Muskoka. Good chicken wings also. Been here many times for casual lunch in the town of Bala.
So grateful these guys are open year round for us few locals and snowmobilers. Half price wing night (Thursday) is simply divine. Their buffalo style wings are the bomb!! Love their Kee memorabilia. Definitely worth a visit. Oh did I mention the half price wings?
the food was not very good and we had to send back one of the plates as it was over done and burnt. We have gone several times and most of the time it does not meet our expectations. However friends of ours go for half price wing night on Thursdays and they say its great
We stopped in from the trails hoping to get a bite to eat and a cold beer. Walking in we discovered the place was busy so with no-one to greet us we eventually found ourselves a table when other patrons left. After waiting again we got a drink and after waiting again, something to eat that was pricey and poor... more
We ate in the Bala Falls Pub and Pizza for dinner, very much a locals pub and very warm and welcoming, food was good, I had nachos and lots of them! My husband had the fish and unfortunately one piece of fish was cold in the centre, they offered to replace it but he was full so declined, they were... more
Great food and hospitality, a cozy place to eat on a winters evening, very basic décor but great service, in a very small town. Nachos were great and so was the fish.
I get that there is not much choice out in Bala however food this bad isn't even meant for the dog. Just terrible. Wings were cooked so many times that they had a crunch layer of oil on top of them (no, it was not the skin). Just thinking about this meal and the good money paid for it is... more
Nothing fancy but the food and service are excellent. We visited during the Bala Cranberry Festival and, since the Pub was away from the busier areas, it was a nice quiet spot for a sit-down lunch. I imagine it would be quite busy on weekends and during the summer months. The hot hamburger ($11.95) was excellent; homemade patty with lots... more
Went for dinner on a Monday night. Special was 1/2 price pints, but this was not honored. Server said only applied to the 12oz size as indicated in the fine print. Someone needs to advise them what a pint size is. Very misleading advertising. Service was slow, and the menu is very over priced for what you get. I will... more
We had great pizza here. It was delicious. Service was quick and pleasant. I would go back. This is your roadhouse type restaurant.
My friends and I frequent this place a lot during the summertime (even in the fall and winer when we're up in Bala). The service and food are always great and the place makes you feel at home.
A good beer selection and a typical pub-grub menu. Their wings are to die for and the pizza (Pizza Nova franchise) is...

Went there for lunch during a snowmobile trip. After ordering beer tried to shimmy into booth (wearing snow pants) by putting my hand on the table and the whole thing tipped enough to spill 2 full beers on me and the floor. I apologized to the waitress although I don't realy think it was my fault that the booth tables... more
Good pub-type food at ok price. Open all winter. Comfortable informal small town eatery where you can get a beer.
The Bala Falls Pub and Pizza is the Pizza Nova franchisee in Bala. Their pizza is superb - the 'Mediterranean' is highly recommended. The salads are great too. This is a small town restaurant/pub with a casual and very pleasant atmosphere. Several beers on tap ensure that any taste preference can be satisfied.
we were going to have a drink at this pub before going to the Kee and it was closed- it was 9:00 on a Saturday night? There were some ppl inside, but the doors were locked- we went last year for a beer before the Kee- not sure why they were closed
It is not everyday you can throw out valuable compliments like "the best wings" in Canada. But here I will. Bala, a modest little town just north of Gravenhurst and shy of Port Carling might only have a couple of places to eat in the evening and certainly people might take the extra twenty minutes to go to Boston Pizza... more
friendly fast great pizza, not much more to say, staff were friendly and quick service, locals at the bar were friendly. I would go back for sure
