Guelph Gastro Pub with a good rotating selection of approx 25 taps, mostly Ontario craft (usually includes a rogue tap and 1-2 ciders) . Small bottle selection that has some seasonal and usually a Bellwoods option. Attentive friendly service with some decent beer knowledge, some staff more-so than others. Food is always good, menu changes regularly as do the daily chalkboard specials. Baker St... more
We went here in mid April for lunch with our son who lives in Guelph, at his suggestion. This was a nice experience, a comfortable, relaxed feel to the place but make no mistake, it is a pub. They carry a good selection of craft beers and the ones we had were very tasty indeed! Their dishes were also impressive,... more
We ate here before the Guelph Storm game on Thursday May 1/14, we arrived early and good thing because, this place filled up fast. There are many craft brewery beers to choose from, all on tap. Very nice. The meal was very good, and you need to think outside the box on this one. Their new summer menu was just... more
It is a great pub atmosphere with the bonus of having some of the consistently best food in town, period- not average pub grub. Amazing food. Extensive beer list. Good wines and whiskeys.
Couldn't have enjoyed this place more. Moving to Guelph from Ottawa, I'm used to having a bunch of very interesting restaurants to eat at and was worried I would be missing out by leaving Ottawa. I was so happy to find this place on my first day in Guelph. Went for an early weekend lunch. They were still serving a... more
I am a big fan of this restaurant. It is our first pick every time we have guests down to visit Guelph! The staff is always friendly and seem to enjoy the atmosphere as much as the customers, it makes for a welcoming environment :) We always look forward to the new menu's and can't wait to return again!
3 of us were curious of the hype! We gave the short rib Putin, onion rings and beef tung with bone marrow a go! Our waitress and waiter were extremely capable! We asked for their comments and recommendations which led us to try these. A chalkboard of Saturday specials a chalkboard of beers and a couple of items which were... more
One of my favourite spots in Guelph. Superb beer selection with lots of craft beer to try. Not just the tired standards that everyone offers. The menu also offers a great mix of choices but isn't overwhelmingly huge. It is short and sweet with a chalkboard of daily changing chef's specials.
Had the fish and chips. The best I have...

Baker Street Station is a regular destination for us whether it's a family dinner, a romantic night out or drinks with friends on a Friday night. The servers are fantastic - we've been going since my wife was pregnant with our now two year old daughter and they have pretty much adopted her as one of their own - it's... more
We had a celebration dinner here for our daughter's graduation. There was an excellent selection of beers on tap and a good selection of single malts. The food arrived promptly and the menu contained a large variety of dishes that were all very tasty, well prepared and well presented. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.... more
Baker Street Station is a clearly a converted house, so it is broken up into several rooms, will all sorts of nooks and crannies. This is part of the charm, as you can be in a different space each visit.
The bar stocks an EXTENSIVE variety of brews, local and imported with many craft brewers represented.
The meal we had...

I've been to Baker street a few times. Always has been good. Not a huge fan of their new menu, but who am I to judge? The service has always been good, and am a fan of their beer selection.
This place has a very ambitious menu and they didn't deliver on all dishes. I have been here twice and while I wouldn't rule it out, it would not be my first choice. The atmosphere is okay but the actual building is old and it shows, without the desired charm. The service was acceptable, the drinks were good, and the... more
We have been to this restaurant many times and always had a good experience. We had foodie friends from out of town come to take me out to lunch for my birthday today (Sunday Jan. 19th). They wanted us to select the spot, so we choose Baker Street Station (after calling to confirm they could accommodate for someone with Celiac... more
This is a great place for friends to meet. It has great food and always some interesting items to try. Go early or make a reservation (though we never did). The place had limited seating.
Great beer selection, good value wine list, excellent food. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Main course pricing is higher than your typical pub pricing, but the quality of food is excellent and the options are unique. (Burger is $15, fish/pork dishes around $21/24 steaks at $29ish) Great patio in the summer! We like that it is off the beaten... more
Good selection of beer on tap, great drinks, great food, great atmosphere, great staff. Hopefully they can make a good run at that location as it's away from the kiddie madness that is downtown Guelph from Thursday to Sunday night. I like it, it'll here to fore be know as my go to, Thanks Baker St !
What a surprise! A hipster pub in Guelph! We visited a couple of times from Toronto and enjoyed each visit. Pleasant and attentive wait staff. And very good food. In fact, the onion rings are the best I have ever had. Well worth the trip from Toronto.
Every year I head back to Guelph, something has changed. This Summer I took a stroll down Baker Street to find that the previous pub there had been replaced by the Baker Street Station. This particular location has seen the short lifespan of many pubs. Baker Street Station however, should be there for the long haul.
Let's start with the...

I googled restaurants in Guelph, and "Baker Street Station", came up, rated well, read the profile, called, and thought we'd give it a try.
1st, Baker Street is a one-way street, so it could make it difficult finding your way. Parking is limited, but there is a lot across the street. The restaurant is 2 levels, 1st is more the...

Sat on the patio and enjoyed the warm asparagus salad, my colleague had the vindaloo. Both meals were excellent, and the service was fast. Both of us had difficulty deciding on what to get as both the printed menu and the specials board offered multiple items that appealed to us. Can't wait to go back and try the rest!
I hate to do this because the servers are great, the patio is nice, and the beer is good and cold. BUT, I got sick from dinner there last April and decided not to write anything because you never know if it was really the last meal you ate or not.....that is, until two other friends of mine got sick... more
Average food on a terribly hot evening. Food interesting, but nothing to write home about.
Did not see any families with small children.
My Regular Dining Partner (RDP) and I frequent Baker Street quite a bit, in fact most Sunday's as we return from weekends of adventure. It never fails to impress.
Whether it's something we usually have, or something new, it's always great. I've described Chef Brett as a magician a number of times to friends as he always finds something to...

Great standard pub style fare but also some different choices! Been many times, never disappointed. Good drinks too. Bring back the lime cilantro wings!
The four of us went for a late mid-week lunch there. The downstairs dining was mysteriously closed so we trudged upstairs. The servers were all young and attractive and very busy. The suits were just leaving to go back to work, so the lunch rush was just about over. Still, it was hard to catch the server's eye. This made ordering... more
I've been to the fabulous Baker Street Station before and LOVED it! The beer, the food, the friends -- all amazing. Hubby and I decided to try it out for brunch on Father's Day Sunday. $4 Caesar special and a dark ale started off the brunch well. Hubby ordered the Croque Madam ($16) and I ordered the Traditional Breakfast ($12).... more
The Baker St. Station has an awesome selection of Ontario craft beers. The manager Ron is really knowledgable about beer and willhelp you select one thst is just right for you. I had lunch the SEAFOOD POT AU FEU it was absolutely delicious. i have never tasted a 'seafood chowder" like this. It was made fresh and oh so good.
Baker Street Station is really the best place to go in Guelph. I probably average 1 visit per week and am never disappointed. The atmosphere is truly unique and reminiscent of an old world pub. The crowd is consistently comprised of a wide mix of people and their menus reinforce the public house atmosphere with a range of prices (think... more
I live very close to downtown Guelph and this pub is by far my favourite. Its is a little more expensive then going to some of the other pubs in town but the food totally justifies the price. My suggestion is Mussels on Tuesday or wings on Mondays to get a better value. I go here all the time the... more
Great selection of food prepared with the palette in mind - Great selection of wines, beers, cocktails etc - fresh and clean decor with a trendy hip unpretentious atmosphere - appropriately loquacious staff who are attentive and want to provide good service. This is a must in Guelph no other place like it.
We love this restaurant, but it's often difficult to even get a reservation no matter what day of the week. Usually love to try their specials of the day, although the regular menu is also great. Good selection of craft beers, and no problem trying a small amount before you commit to a full glass. Great customer service.
If you want a boutique style bar with excellent beer, knowledgeable staff and a great atmosphere then look no further! An amazing array of drinks and excellent food make this place worth a visit. What else can be said! Go and be impressed!
This is a cool spot to eat. A converted house that provides unique beer and food selections. You gotta try the "meat" donuts (beignet) ... they are excellent. Great onion rings as well.
They have a home-made version of the Big Mac which is really good. I have eaten here twice and loved it both times. Our waitress was hillarious...

I've eaten here many times and have to say its one of my favourite places to go in Guelph. I like everything I've had on the menu. Sometimes it's super busy, and service isn't too great, but that's understandable. I would highly recommend Baker Street and will definitely be eating there many more times.
Although busy they found us a nice table in the back room. Small but interesting menu. The meat pie was so full of savory brown meat. A bit dry so we asked for some brown sauce that perked it right up. Could use a few more vegy's on the side. Chicken curry was piping hot and tasty with rice. Small... more
The food was amazing. I had the lamb cannelloni and my fiancé had the steak and ale. Our table shares the croquettes, onion rings and beignets. Amazing. 25+ beers on tap. This place rocks.
The food was very good the service quick and friendly and the prices were reasonable varied menu great fish and chips loads of choice on beers
Recently took some co-workers out for a meeting and decided on Baker Street Station. We were in at lunch time and there were already a few people there before they opened their doors at noon. I had the PLT (Pork Belly, Lettuce, and Tomato) sandwich with fries. It was a FANTASTIC sandwich, and I love my sandwiches. The pork belly... more
I am not sure if the people who reviewed this place below ate at the same place or I the night I visited was a bad night for the restaurant. It is unfortunate that none of the good restaurants in Guelph are open on a Sunday night. It was our Anniversary and we wanted to go out to a nice... more
This is a real British pub with British food and good beer, including local beers on tap. The food was good, as was the service, & the beer outstanding. The atmosphere is nice, too. I'm not big on British food, but this was pretty good. I would go back just because it is (for me) a unique kind of experience.... more
I've been to Baker St. Station several times per month since November and it is consistently one of the best pubs in Guelph.

I have eaten here twice in the past few weeks. The fish and chips is always good. You get two good size pieces (not just flour with no fish like other places). Dress light in the summer. Had lunch with a friend. We both ordered the Steak Sandwich. I ordered mine without bread(gluten free) and no fries. I asked for root chips instead. The steak was tasty. We both found

Really enjoyed the veggie burger! The menu is interesting and everything is homemade. Definitely good value for your money if you appreciate good food. What a huge disappointment this place is!
The food takes forever to come out from the kitchen (40 minutes for the grazing menu items! and that was before the dinner rush) and when it finally arrives it's not tasty!
