Perfect food, best mixed drinks

Everytime I come to town I must go. Hands down the best mixed drinks in the city. I just love the sliders... amazing. as is the rest of the menu. I love to take a seat by an open window and watch people go by. Service is the best as well.

Located in the Wedgewood hotel, this is one of the best places for a upscale dinner in downtown Vancouver. The service was good and the food was excellent, both the fish and the steak. It's pricey but worth the experience

Good food, service a little underwhelming even though waiter was funny and attentive. Left the tuna off an entree. Wine Recomended was not great. Asked for local distillers, got a London Gin. Overall a good experience , but was expecting more from a relais and chateu property.

Absolutely wonderful lunch

Our lunch experience was wonderful. The service was impressive (quiet and efficient), the meal was just "so good", and the cappuccino & dessert was very delicious. I will return here again and again.

A Nice Place for Lunch

While staying at the Wedgewood Hotel, we managed to have lunch in their Bacchus Restaurant. Both my wife and I share one of their thin crusted Pizzas along with a bottle of wine. The pizza was very tasty and the restaurant atmosphere was cozy. Our server was quite professional and helpful.

It's easy to under-dress for one of Vancouver's best formal lounges - this place is usually stuffed full of suits from the law courts and financial districts. Spoilt by noise

The food & service were excellent but we found the music, in particular the singing very annoying, intrusive and much too loud. I chose Bacchus as it is one of the few good restaurants in Vancouver where you can chat without shouting so it was very disappointing to find that conversation was so difficult. Exhausting, irritating & detracted from the excellent food & service.

Tasty French cuisine done well

We had an excellent meal here, well cooked and with a good choice on the menu. Plenty of wine options at the going rate-wine in Canada is never very reasonable even though they produce their own. Service was very friendly and efficient. Couldn't fault it.

Food not inspired

Not up to the standard of a Chateau et Relais restaurant. Had the foie gras for first course and it was disappointing, presented in a bowl on top of a watery vegetable sauté. My main was BC halibut which was bland and uninspired. Desert was a trio of sorbets which I am certain came from a container.

2 of us ordered the seafood salad that was supposed to have tuna, shrimp and mussels. First time in. From the valet parking attendant to Great service (Kristie was amazing) to the piano man, not to mention great food, as well as the overall demeanor of the staff it was a pleasure that my wife and I ( Orange County, CA residents who have a condo in Coal Harbour) discovered a new "hangout" for us and to also bring friends to.

Worth a visit

Stayed at the Wedgewood Hotel and had one meal in its Bachhus Restaurant - excellent food although had to chase waiter for wine, which is why I haven't given five stars. All waiters should know to get the wine to the table pronto, once ordered. Other than that small gripe, the meal and service was first class.

Nice but definetly not Fine dining

Overall everything was nice, The food was good nothing wow i had the duck breast (Apparently the Magret de canard is too expensive?? 16$ in Granville market) lacking bit of sweetness, french waiter was nice service good. the dessert for our anniversary was disappointing chocolate dome with some créme on top.

My co-worker and I had a great breakfast meeting, server was so lovely and pleasant. not overly attentive but there just as you needed. The coffee was a bit on the strong side, the pastries were delish. The atmosphere made you feel as tho you were somewhere special and the staff also made you feel you were special. The food and service could not have been better; however, if you want to have a quiet conversation, make sure to ask for a table away from the piano bar. The pianist was excellent and very accommodating but we were a table of 8 and were unable to carry on a conversation.

Bacchus Lounge at The Wedgewood Hotel has long been my favorite up-scale watering hole in downtown Vancouver. For 20+ years, I have enjoyed the exquisite ambiance of the room and the warm, efficient service of the staff. This is a place I always bring out-of-town visitors when I'm playing tour guide.

Wonderful service and wonderfully inspired food. The wine pairings suggested were spot on. We have eaten here a number of times and are always anxious to return.
Enjoy a leisurely drink in the adjoining lounge before dinner or take your after dinner drink sitting by the fire in the lounge. All in all, a most enjoyable experience.

Lovely Posh High Tea

I wanted a classy place to go for High Tea for Mother's Day and this was just the ticket. The tea service was impeccable. The server was polite and personable and really helped to ameliorate the experience.

Came for afternoon tea for mothers day. We all really enjoyed it. The food was great, service impeccable, and the ambiance amazing. The decor and style is beautiful however we still felt very at ease and relaxed. Definitely on my list for top places in Vancouver!

Good valet service. Great halibut superb fish selection and other non sea varieties. Wife had excellent duck. Gourmet portion sizes. Great wine list. I have eaten at the Bacchus Restaurant and in their lounge several times, it has always been excellent and the service friendly, efficient and professional. They have a great variety of wonderful dishes for dinner, as well as in the Lounge.

We stayed at the Wedgewood Hotel and had several breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner at Bacchus. The food was excellent and the service was superb in this nicely appointed bar-restaurant combination.
