Saint-Hippolyte, QC

We went for a week in Mid-April to this resort as an affiliate of the Wyndham Resorts. Our unit was A-106 (2 bdrm). I was a little amazed at the good reviews this place recieved after our recent stay. And this review is based on our experiences at Wyndham properties in the U.S. This place is a HUGE step down... more
We spent 1 night and 2 days on the grounds through a promotional offer I received. This has nothing to do with the timeshare stuff this place offers. It was a package I purchased through these Deal Find websites. It included a 1 night stay in a standard hotel room, a table d'hote dinner and a buffet breakfast the next... more
Geo has some good properties - Auberge du Lac Morency is very nice. We've stayed in almost every different accommodation there eg. studio, one bdrm condo and two bdrm townhouse. We've been there in every season too. In general, it is great to get out of the city and enjoy the country for a while but 'Auberge du Lac Morency'... more
Unfortunately i found out that major construction works were in progress during our stay. Sections of the hotel are being rebuilt causing loud noises during the day resulting in anything but calm and relaxation. Do yourself a favor and stay away until construction has ended!
Beds were hard and the sheet were short. House keeping only showed u 2-1/2 times in 3 weeks after a phone all they showed up at 4:30PM. The restaurant and wine was expensive and not very sophisticated. The Tour was a bust and 4hrs trips were being crammed into a commuter van not a bus. The spa services and personnel was great, I highly recommend the massages. Be careful on the Jeep, ATV and... more
Food, activities, location.. Perfect. Made RSVP to ski..but no snow. Not their fault! Rode quad-runners, drove Jeeps on the mountain...EXCELLENT! Well maintained machines. Great fun. Can't wait to go back in snow to run snowmobiles! Staff..friendly, pleasant, very helpful, good English. Sorry we couldn't converse in French. Thank You!!
Just got back from Auberge du Lac Morency and we enjoyed our stay! Loved the peace and quiet at the resort. Our condo had a beautiful view of the lake. No complaints about our 2 bedroom unit 105A&B. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The sofa beds were new. Seems like they just updated the units.
Sure,I'd have...

My 2nd and last visit. To sum this place up is simple, Great food and wine, with terrible service all around. The reason I returned for a third time is the actual area is great and close to St-Sauveur. I decided to give it a another chance. Why I don't really know as it proved to me nothing has changed... more
This nestled resort is a good 10-15 minutes away from civilization. It is sitting directly on Lac Morency, which you can cross by foot in the winter to reach a small town where you'll find a shop or two and a good breakfast restaurant.
The resorts itself is magnificent. We had a townhouse style two-story condo. Everything we needed was...

My wife and I stayed at Lac Morency for a snowmobile weekend for Valentines Day 2012.
We stayed in a two story, two bedroom unit close to the restaurant and reception building.
The unit was exceptional. It was clean, attractive roomy and the kitchen and linens were fully stocked. The bed are quite firm, but we managed ok. The living/dining...

interpret all the reviews which appear to conflict with each other.
The rustic ones seem to be the rooms with two floors - all buildings of this type (except one) are nearer the lake and common buildings (restaurant, pool, etc.). The new ones are farther from the lake - up a hill. There are three floors in these new buildings...
