Spa Retreat like no other

Visited July 23rd and 24th. The setting and the ambience is like no other. The Spa Retreat, once a monastery, is rustic with mostly cedar interior, with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking an open field with lined trees.

Flexible and Considerate Management

Originally a Emergency stay because of a big family funeral, the management provided the pool, Spa and Sauna for a grieving family of 10+ cousins (kids and adults) to take away the pain of losing a loved one.
Very considerate and eager to please, the team at Auberge de la Vallee helped us out and asked for nothing in return....

Poor Management, no soundproofing- not even SOAP provided

Very relaxing long weekend

Spent a romantic long weekend with my wife here, loved it. Place is clean, quiet and the staff are very friendly. Great value for money.

Excellent start to the holidays

I will start with the positive, The cabing was amazing, very spacious and comfortable, we had the last cabing that sleeps 6. Very clean. Salt water pool and hot tub were fun. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel but it really is more focused on spa activities.
The decor is somewhat dated but is ok given the theme of the quasi-resort. it had just changed owners and still needs a bit of fine tuning.

I would have rated it a very good except for the beds
June 25, 2013Stayed there recently. The location is good, the service was excellent, the pool/hot tub quite nice, the breakfast was fine. I would have rated it very good but unfortunately the bed and pillows are horrible. I'd suggest to invest in some proper beds and pillows and this will be an excellent place to stay.

Perfect getaway
January 02, 2013I have been to this hotel several times in the last few years. It provides great value for your money. The rooms are fantastic. I wish the restaurant was still operating! Regardless I highly recommend it for couples or families. Quiet, relaxing, with comfy beds and great bathroom facilities. Pool area is lovely as well.
