Visited July 23rd and 24th. The setting and the ambience is like no other. The Spa Retreat, once a monastery, is rustic with mostly cedar interior, with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking an open field with lined trees.
Customer service was exemplary. My last experience, under new management, was not a positive one. However, I was willing to experience...

First, let me start by saying that I'm not related to or personally know the owners of the establishment. That said......
Let me start by saying some things are true. The rooms are a little thin, but that is mostly due to other guests slamming doors and not being courteous to other guests. Not really something that can be completely...

Originally a Emergency stay because of a big family funeral, the management provided the pool, Spa and Sauna for a grieving family of 10+ cousins (kids and adults) to take away the pain of losing a loved one.
Very considerate and eager to please, the team at Auberge de la Vallee helped us out and asked for nothing in return....

The ladies are the front desk are polite and courteous however the management is terrible. Extremely rude- not customer focused in the least. After paying $130+ for one night there was not even any SOAP in the room, not one bar. Its a very simple thing when all you'd like to so is come in off the road take a... more
I stayed in one of the rooms in the Auberge, first the positives, the staff on reception were very polite and helpful, my room was clean and tidy, the pool was warm and the hot tub was, well, Hot! The inclusive breakfast was help yourself and I thought there was plenty of choice, though the coffee had run out when... more
We stayed in one of the "chalets" which is in fact connected to the lobby via a hallway. When you walk in the room, it's HUGE. 15 to 20 foot ceiling... Two queen beds, two leather couches, some more chairs, a kitchen area and a sun room/slash/dining room. Very impressive. Nice modern clean large washroom as well. We had three... more
Spent a romantic long weekend with my wife here, loved it. Place is clean, quiet and the staff are very friendly. Great value for money.
Room was large, clean and had a double bath hot-tub in it: what more could you want, really!?
My mother-in-law and I had a wonderful time at the Auberge on Saturday, December 21st, just in time to kick-start the holidays! My mother-in-law enjoyed a relaxing pedicure, while I lounged at the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Following her treatment, we were treated to delicious French cuisine in the Bistro. We had a terrific experience and look forward... more
I will start with the positive, The cabing was amazing, very spacious and comfortable, we had the last cabing that sleeps 6. Very clean. Salt water pool and hot tub were fun. Estetician Dany is amazing!!! and also one massage therapist I can't remember her name. I was 100% satisfied with my massage and facial.
We enjoyed our day/night at...

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel but it really is more focused on spa activities.
The decor is somewhat dated but is ok given the theme of the quasi-resort. it had just changed owners and still needs a bit of fine tuning.
Front doors are locked at 10 pm and access to rooms is through a side door (not...

Stayed there recently. The location is good, the service was excellent, the pool/hot tub quite nice, the breakfast was fine. I would have rated it very good but unfortunately the bed and pillows are horrible. I'd suggest to invest in some proper beds and pillows and this will be an excellent place to stay.
This hotel was a good place to stay, but its decor was dated. Bathurst is not a tourist town, so the location of the hotel on the outskirts of the town was good, because it had a rural setting, surrounded by a mini forest. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also doubles as a day spa with massage... more
This is a beautiful place to go for a relaxing massage. They have professional staff and they are making sure you will go back. They also have all kinds of service for men and woman. A salt water pool. They also have beautiful rooms great food. It s place where you can relax enjoy a nice plate. Wifi is also... more
I have been to this hotel several times in the last few years. It provides great value for your money. The rooms are fantastic. I wish the restaurant was still operating! Regardless I highly recommend it for couples or families. Quiet, relaxing, with comfy beds and great bathroom facilities. Pool area is lovely as well.
