Lovely historic hotel

We loved our stay at the Auberge de la Place Royale. It is in a beautifully maintained historic building. The rooms are large and charming, and there was a chalkboard on the room doors welcoming the guests. It was the perfect place to stay when visiting historic Montreal.

Very nice. Close to all the tourist attractions and restaurants in Old Montreal. Could be sign posted better as the entrance is just a " hole in the wall". Very comfortable with very large rooms, but, no elevators. If you are on top floor, Whew !

I found the hotel very dirty, which made for an uncomfortable stay. We discovered our bed was actually broken when we tried to sleep. My husband was up till 5am because of it. They did give us 1/2 off our room because of the bed, which is fair.

Wonderful hotel in old Montreal

This hotel is in the prime location of where you want to be. The room was very comfortable, but if you're expecting a modern place forget it. The ambience was wonderful. I have to caution anyone who cannot do stairs. I never had a problem with noise but before I stayed, I read some who reported am noise.

A 3 floor Inn situated in an ideal location in Old Montreal. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops and historical sites. No elevator, but stairs are wide so easy enough to carry suitcases up and down. The rooms are very large and the washroom in my hotel room was clean.
