Great place

Both locations, old port and in the mile end are wonderful. Great food, try the hummus, yum! Extensive drink list and the drinks are strong. Atmosphere is great, gets a little loud, but good music and a local vibe. Always recommend this pace to friends who r in town.

J'y suis allé pour l'anniversaire d'une amie et la nourriture est très chère et le service est long même si le personnel est agréable. La nourriture est bonne mais c'est vraiment la quantité de cocktail qui fait la différence. À découvrir une fois mais sans plus je n'y remettrais pas les pieds.

The food was great, very chic. At the time of day we went it was too noisy to have a meaningful conversation (can't remember when we went lol). The price was also pretty high for this part of the neighborhood.

I do find it expensive but the service and ambiance make up for that. With all the drink options and nice food you will have a nice evening.

D'accord avec le commentaire precedent. Service long et desagreable, nourriture chere et sans gout. Les cocktails sont bons mais tout aussi cher que la bouffe. Un bar a cocktail qui se veut restaurant mais n'en a pas les pretentions du tout.

Horrible service. Brunch made me sick and the waitress only came to see us once. We had to ask the busboy questions because she was too busy sitting on her fat butt.

Good food, good drinks, live jazz band, good ambience. What spoiled it for us was a waitress called Sylvie. Rude, arrogant, had an I-give-a-damn attitude. Such people shouldn't be in the service industry, they ruin a perfectly nice place by their attitude.

All hamburgers should be made out of foie gras.All resto-bars should be full of gorgeous people.Thankfully L'Assommoir has checked off both of these boxes.

Assommoir have 2 locations and the one in the old port is a must try!
The selection of drinks is amazing and you simply have to ask the bartender to surprise you with a drink and you will no regret!
The food is also very good and different!

Good cocktails. Nothing wrong with the service. But the food was slop. Maybe suitable for a fun night and a snack but for a serious decent meal, forget it. My ribs turned up stone cold, got sent back and turned up back microwaved, sauce and all. The others in my group disappointed also. Good atmosphere but the food was poor.
