The Aspen is a great place to stay, was in Smithers for 5 nights for sons Hockey School, very close to arena, the room was clean and large, had 2 double beds and a set of bunk beds. Staff was very friendly, and accommodating, allowed me to extend our check out time by 2 hours. Restaurant was also very good

Disappointed and deceived

Do not be fooled by the nice photos on line they DO NOT REPRESENT the actual place. Reasonable rate but very limited service

I have stayed here a few times but never really noticed how c@!%!y the WIFI is until this visit. I have been disconnected once every 10 or so minutes. Not as good as it used to be

Because of my job I stay there at least twice a week. Since the beginning of this year, their wi-fi has not worked properly. It continuously disconnects. Good spot to rest over

The room was what one would expect from a typical small town roadside motel. However it was comfortable and clean. The staff were really nice and as value for money there are no complaints. Clean and good

My wife and I stayed here on our way from Prince rupert back to the Okanagan . We called in on our way through and were made most welcome,the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

We stayed at The Aspen Inn in Smithers for a ski trip.
We Skied at The Hudson Bay Mountain all day and we were very excited to relax in the Hot Tub.
The kids had a great time in the pool.
Later we went for dinner at The Riverhouse. It was really outstanding.
The Food was Great The Service as good and the Restaurant is really well done.

Started off good, clean, comfy beds, pet friendly. Awoke in the morning at 7:30 to loud diesel trucks outside of the room idling, and the smell of diesel filled the room. This is life in a northern motel in the winter, I guess.

Have stayed here a few times while in town for skiing and visiting friends and I've had a good experience every time. The ladies at the front desk are friendly, the rooms are cozy, and you get a breakfast coupon for the restaurant beside it, the restaurant has awesome food too!

Loved the inn, clean and felt cozy, The restaurant has great food, a bit slow for food service, though. Why does this review have to be so long? TripAdvisor has never heard of brevity?

Gave away my room

I was very specific when I booked my accommodations over the phone because I was booking two rooms and needed a ground level room for my and my two children. Always a Pleasure

It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Friendly, warm, hospitable service always. When we stayed it was at the same time as 2 hockey teams stayed and they allowed their children to run wild until 2 am disturbing guests. The rooms are older but have been updated. Staff are helpful and they give you a $10 voucher per night for the restaurant and lounge which are very nice and have good food and good service. There is also a pool and hottub. For the price this place is pretty hard to beat.
