Great traditional motel
August 15, 2012This is a great value motel, conveniently located slightly outside the downtown. Our booking through the festival provided a modest, clean motel with AC and comfortable bed and complete bathroom. Breakfast was also modest, but better than many chain motels. This is not luxury, but an older, traditional that can be recommended for it value and friendly management.

Quaint and Clean

Stay here on July 31 - August 1, Room, Silvius, was very large and clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
The hotel was 5 minute drive from the Stratford Festival Theatre.

Great Value
July 08, 2012Nice clean & comfortable place, which we also found conveniently located. Included in the rate was a simple but nice breakfast. The pool is shallow but we enjoyed it very much, as it had a nice sitting area around the pool. Beds were nice and I would certainly go back.

Good and bad
September 14, 2011The room was nice, but no hair dryer. The breakfast coffee was good but the cereal was STALE. The breakfast has no meat. The bread is below average to toast. The room was over $140. So it would be nice to have at least a good wheat bread from a bakery. The location is easy to drive to the theater.

The rooms (had a a suite) are very neat and clean.
Rasonably priced, the pool is small but good enough to cool down on a hot summer day.
Although the air conditionar is a little noisy it works perfectly well.

The As You Like It Motel is very obviously an older building, but the owners have tastefully updated the rooms. The rooms are spotless and the beds are extremely comfortable. We didn't use the pool while we were there, but it is well-kept, and there is a lovely little patio area for spending some time outdoors.

Great Motel we loved it
June 18, 2011Cute little Motel in Stratford on quiet street. Very clean, well kept with character. Hosts are very friendly and serve a nice continental breakfast. Nice pool out back to cool yourselves off. Free wi-fi is a nice touch, television gets plenty of channels. Next time we are in Stratford we will easily come here again.

The owner, Elaine, turned out to be a simply charming hostess who was very accommodating and very helpful with suggestions.

Room Location: East side first floor
Odors: Slight scent of fabric softener in sheets and towels.
Noise: Only sound we heard was when talking people walked by outside the room. The thru-wall A/C unit was not run, so no fan noise.
Cleanliness: Very clean. Better than our home.

Best place to Stay in Stratford
June 05, 2006The best place to stay in Stratford is the AsyouLikeIt Motel. It's a little "outside" Stratford (on Romeo Street) but that's all to the good - nice and quiet unlike most of the hotels/motels in town. The rooms are excellent (and reasonable) and very comfortable. It's the ONLY place in Stratford for us!
