Over priced cds and books, the staff is pretencious and rude, barely say hi when you walk in. Their days are numbered.

I couldn't find the location near Jean Talon Market here on yelp, but wanted to say that they were great there. Very friendly and helpful and I bought my first Godin guitar from them. So much better than I expected and they knew about the guitars also which was a big plus. Great experience.

There are actually a decent number of bookstores in the area but none compares to this titan. Amazing selection of books, some in different languages. The actual English selection isn't very big though. Location: Bordering the Village, on Ste. Cathering East. You can take the subway and hop off at Berri or Beaudry. Street parking is available but metered.

The place: It's pretty darn big. You'll find both books and music here, and odds are that if you're looking for something unusual, these guys will have it.

Go here if your looking for music, manuscripts, a novel, etc. It's a perfect location right at the berri station and so many people work here to help you find exactly what you want.

It is a huge bookstore. I can't think of another bookstore this big that isn't going out of business or subsidized by a university. It is also a huge music store. I've never seen so many scores outside of a conservatory or competitive sporting event.

is one of the most complete libraries in montreal, there are areas to read and the environment is very confortable. the library has an extense collection of books in different languages. teh cost depend on the book you want to buy, but competes in a moderate rate with the other ones.

This is probably the biggest music store complex in North America. I love this place!! It has everything and anything you could possible look for pertaining to audio, video, books, sheet music, guitars, basses, synthesizers, etc...in fact, 3 floors of them! So it looks like I am the one writing the first English review of this place; I'm proud of myself :) I came in here tonight because I was in the area buying bus tickets at the terminal and I figured I'd stop in here cause I needed two technical studies books for viola. My instructor told me that this is the only place in town to go to buy sheet music and that they're actually a bit overpriced.... plus

A very complete music store, but probably not a good choice for people looking for convenient prices.
