Just had the chicken parmagiana at Arcata... I'm not a terribly fussy eater but I know when something is homemade or when the cook uses 'real' ingredients (i.e. tomatoes and not tomato paste). The sauce was overly sweet (corn syrup) and lacked flavour. My initial reaction was that it was bottled sauce. It's not difficult to make real spaghetti sauce... more

Just had Arcata Pizza, and was not at all impressed. Crust was thin and VERY tough, hard to eat. Toppings were far and few between. If you got 2 mushrooms on a slide of pizza, you were doing good. The wife liked the taste of the sauce, and I will say it was ok.. But this was a very skimpy... more
This place makes some great pizza there are dozens of pizza joints in the city and this one beat's the chains and most of the independants. Be careful when ordering for pick up the establishment is about the size of a shower stall so you have to look for it the sign out front is huge and may be actually bigger than the store
