Beyond boardies, Rick McCrank and Michelle Pezel's love of the art of the skate is evident throughout their minimalist space that's also a community hangout. Besides theiron-site gallery, you can also read up on the scene with the best mags and urban art books. Ask about Leeside skate park and get the background on this memorial to a beloved Vancouver shredder gone too soon. Official AntiSocial... more
Love this place, the owners, and their commitment to the community. Nothing negative to say at all; Michelle is always a great help if you're in need. She's knowledgable, hilarious and entertaining!
5/5, skate on!
always help full and fun, the way a good skate shop should be
This place is fantastic! I know nothing about skateboards and wanted to get my 6 yr old nephew one. The woman in the shop was super helpful. Set me up with a board and and gave me lots of info about where to take him to learn and find some other young boarders.
Had a funny first impression of this shop. But the second time I visited I got some great skate shoes that I couldn't find anywhere else. The women that help me out was cool too.
I had the worst customer experience of my life at Antisocial. The woman helping us was so cold and mean. She made us feel inferior for asking simple questions and it took the rest of the day to get over the rotten feeling. I want to like this place so much but I don't think I'll ever go back because this is not the first time I've had a bad experience there. I know a lot of people reading this... more
Worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing, even for a skate shop. Treated like complete s**t every time I have been there. They don't keep things stocked up and they have a limited selection. They will make a huge deal about going to look for a size and usually will just say no without checking. One of the numerous condescending sales ppl asked my bf who has been... more
I agree with the notion that you need not visit this store for the warm fuzzies. You go to buy quality stuff and have a straightforward buying experience.
We love coming here (my 4 year old included) because they are super nice and encouraging to my little guy. He always leaves with a bunch of stickers or pins and some advice on how to get him into skating. I plan to get his first legit board...

I came in here from time to time with a friend of mine who skates. I used to skate, therefore, it's cool and nostalgic to look at some stuff. Good selection, helpful staff and positive upbeat environment. The shoes are awesome. They carry local books which is a huge plus. I am glad to see that we still have a skate culture and that shops like this are nourishing this.
If you are looking for a core shop then this is the place. Don't go there expecting to make any friends or find a new chill spot but do go if you're looking for some non mall grabbing type of s@!t. Yes, things may be a bit pricey but put yourself at ease knowing you're supporitng a legit skateshop and the Vancouver skate scene.
This store straight up rules as the staff is incredibly helpful and nice and they have a solid selection of stuff for sale. Skateboard decks, gear, clothing plus some really cool books covering skating to street art....lots of stuff to check out.
This store has become my main destination when it comes to skate shops and definitely a store I want to support.
Strange that that the yelp page said it was closed. As far as I can tell it just moved.
This THE core skateshop in Vancouver. Culture rich. Gotta check it out if your visiting and are into skating. You can feel good supporting a place like this.
Listen, if you, like me, are not much of a skater, at least go to Antisocial to check out the art!
This Main Street store's walls are lined with skate decks and kicks, which flank a central-island display case of skate vids, wheels, hardware, wallets, etc.
The rest of this so-called "skate shop" is more art gallery than skate park. The rear of the store hosts exhibits from local and...
