Excellent, génial, je vous le recommande. Excellents spéciaux de midis. Essayez le poulet Korma et les légumes balti.

Standard Indian fare. Undistinguished in most every way. Fine for dinner if you are in the neighbourhood, but no real reason to head here specifically. Somewhat cheaper than Le Taj, I suppose.

La nourriture etait bonne en general mais le service vraiment nul. Nous avons du nous "astiner" avec le serveur car ils nous donnent les menus du midi mais nous chargent les prix du soir. Il semblait dire que c'etait juste un vieux menu mele dans la pile, mais quand il nous a rapporte d'autres menus, quel hasard, ils etaient tous vieux! I visited this place couple of time but now don't find any more taste .It does nottaste like indian the waite is not a bilingual and it take a long time to get food also had to ask for my coffe and drinks.

Service was excellent, the personal touch. The food was a gastro delight, really excellent, very exquisite taste, you could easily be in INDIA when you eat here. The food is of that high standard. There is just a very relaxed friendly atmosphere about the place. Its very inviting.

We have visited this place 3 times, and have always been impressed with the consistently high quality of the food. When we say "quality," we refer to authenticity, fresh ingredients, a perfect blend in the use of spices, which is a major feature of Indian food, and quantity. 07 mai 2013Honestly, it's not worth sitting and eating at this place. However, they have extensive delivery service with A-la-Carte. I found, that's one of the better Indian delivery services (the pool of choices isn't that big).

I have been to this restaurant twice, both times for a group meeting with an industry association. We sat in the back, where there was a large screen set up for presentations.
The menu is quite extensive, with a large selection of both meat and vegetarian items. Note that rice and naan are not included with the dishes.

Very tasty indeed! Loved their shrimp bhoona.Overpriced, unfortunately. Now I just go to Thali a few blocks west on St.Marc for half the price. If Allo Inde decided to make their prices more competitive, I would happily return. Doubt that will happen though.

My indian delivery spot

We were looking for food after arriving into Montreal and checking into our hotel. It's the downtown area and we didn't know it very well so after 20 min of research on restomontreal.com, we found this place which was open. Very empty on a Sunday night. I stopped in last week because I had a hankering for Indian and Allo Inde was just a block away from where I was. I guess I was a bit late for the lunch crowd because the dining room was empty, except for a couple of people near the window finishing their meals.

Pricier than it should be probably but the food was savory, delicious, filling, and hit the spot. The service is excellent, I really felt taken care of. I would go back here any time.

Yes, it's expensive. But you will be hard-pressed to find more flavorful and tender chicken, whether in an India restaurant or anywhere else. The cook is a master of the tandoori oven. But don´t just blink.
Stop. Stay awhile. An Indian feast awaits, served with attentive unobtrusive service, in a richly decorated Indian oasis in Montreal.

I had the Tikka Masala, and the dish came with small, gourmet portions, and was semi-cold, and not very good! The dish was expensive, $20, plus wine and bread and small appetizer, I paid $45 for a rather unfufilling meal. I am definitely not impressed with this place. There are better Indian places in Montreal.

Allo Inde is an Indian restaurant in downtown Montreal. It is near the corner of Stanley and Ste-Catherine, close to downtown hotels (see my journal entries on Le Centre Sheraton and The Queen Elizabeth), and the Peel Metro (subway) station.
To me, nothing hits the spot on a cold night (ie, late March in Montreal) like good Indian food, in a nice warm place with great service. Allo Inde did...
