que dire de plus!
leurs macarons classiques, aux saveurs inusitées, glacés, et autre desserts et chouquettes sont à tomber!!!!
I got introduced to macarons late in my life and it happened to be with the famous French Laduree. So my standards being set high, I would give 4 stars for the macarons of this pastry shop. The selection of flavours is appealing and there is a new one introduced every month. I found some of the flavours a little bit stronger and filling sweeter for my taste, but overall the quality is good.... plus
So I've been craving macaroons for the past month almost lol and decided to choose this place. I'm really glad I did, the choices are great, I absolutely love the pistachio flavor. The prices are decent and the service was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and great window display of beautiful macaroons. Those make excellent gifts too and they have ice cream ones also. They have a new... plus
Paillete feuilletine is definitely a must-have.
Caramel tastes great too.
Pistache is nice but kinda bland compared to the rest.
Aw I just regret not having had more.
I didn't make it to the store although it was on my list of places to shop during my trip because La Maison had set up shop at the Palais des Congress Mall for the Nutcracker Market. The macarons are absolutely delicious and beautiful in display and variety. I bought a large box as a gift for the office. May... plus
Merci tous le mondes
Joyeux 5 ans et longue vie a la maison du macaron
The Parisian breakfast is to die for. All the treats are just that. The quality and the flavor are in line with the ones I also very much enjoyed in Paris.
The sit down area is very small, reservations are a must. The service is not rushed. It is casual.
In all fairness, it's been many a month since I went there and it was before they started their kiosks in malls - so I don't know how much...

Souffre à la comparaison, il y a bien meilleur dans le quartier... à moins de 200m !
Right before we left Montreal I realized I hadn't bought any macarons! Did a quick search on my iPhone and this place popped up (as being close to where we were while driving.) We were able to find parking on le la Roche up from the bakery. This place as a modern vibe. It really easy to go across the... plus
this place is such a cute bistro in Montreal. friendly service. get the macaroons they are amazing! my favorite were the caramel, pistachio and hazelnut. totally worth the cost if you like sweets.
We had the ultimate showdown between La Maison and Point G, with blind tests, and ranking system and everything, and our most fave was a La Maison one which was a pear sorbet! So flavourful, fresh-tasting, and moist! There was also a mango/coconut one though, where one of the cookies was rock hard :( so I would say this place is slightly hit and miss, and therefore 3 stars. I think Point G is... plus
I was lucky to live in Mt Royal only a few minutes walk from this place... But even when I moved away I always came up with an excuse to come to la Maison du Macaron.
I have never left disappointed, except when they ran out of some flavours, but this does not happen often. I love macarons with original and even quirky flavours but I always try a simple flavour one: if those ones shine, good...

I guess it really isn't fair. I'm not really that heavy into sweets, but it was Valentine's and I wanted to get a treat for my BF.
I thought the flavours sounded really interesting; mango & pepper, choco-banana, mandarine and many more I ca't recall. The problem for me, they all pretty much tasted bland.
The texture of the cookies were off too. They fell apart with even the lightest of...

They have ICE CREAM macarons. Please proceed to jizz in your pants.
-Must also get the pailleté feuilletine, basically ferrero rocher in macaron disguise.
-Quality undoubtedly beats Point G
Being in a French town, I felt I had to visit some French bakeries. I actually wanted to go to Point G and this place for comparison but unfortunately Point G was closed. I ended up getting six macarons here : lemon, coffee, spiced mango, apple, raspberry, and banana. The favors were all really good but my complaint is in the texture of the cookie. They were too soft and fell apart when I took... plus
You dont have to travel to Paris to taste their lovely cakes, beautiful shop in Covent Garden,London!! Beware of the mint flavour, very strong mint leaves!! Very nice indeed!!
I've discovered this place back in 2010 and I've been hooked ever since!
I live in Toronto and I usually visit Montreal at twice a year. Since I discovered this macaron gem, I make it a point (AND UTTERLY INSIST UPON IT!) to take a trip to La Maison du Macaron before heading back to Toronto.
Their macarons are a...

Hubby has a weird thing for macarons so we made our way here to sample a few. My favorite was the salted caramel. They have a nice little cafe space, too. :)

I wasn't always a fan of the macaron, in fact I didn't really get the rage. I think it started with a non-impressive one, and it failed to get my attention. Then in Vancouver, I had one that my brother made me try and my world changed ever so slightly. I came to agree that they can be good as long as it was made right.
It would be another 2 years before I would try another, and La Maison du...

so far the best macaroons i've had in town. A La Paris! They were so good so I ordered a 4 people size macaroon cake for a birthday, and it was amazingly delicious and reasonably priced. Adorable stuff. Cute boutique. p.s. They have a newly opened counter in Eaton Center. Great selections as well~
I visited Paris last summer and fell in love with french macarons. For comparison sake, my favourite macarons from Paris were from La Duree. I also tried macarons from Pierre Herme - they were also tasty but I found La Duree slightly better.
While visiting Montreal, I decided to try out two macaron pastry shops - La Maison du Macaron...

Worth the trip. In town from NYC with an interest in macarons. Great to see a non-tourist area. Macarons are amazing. Favorites among many outstanding were pistachio, vanilla, gianduia, blueberry, peppered mango.
The macaroons here are good, but a little on the too-sweet side with an extra flaky cookie. The chocolate banana was a nice twist and the pistachio had a smooth, creamy filling. It is really a matter of personal taste preferences when it comes to here and Point G.
I am a macaron snob so I am a very tough critic, as I have mentioned in previous reviews...
I decided to go to La Maison du Macaron and try out their macarons and see if they live up to my all time favorite place for macarons in Montreal, whcich is just a block or so away.
Opening the door of La Maison du Macaron, I was greeted by warm sweet air smelling like thick sugar. It is very stark...

Amazingly priced, good size and very tasty! I've been all over montreal in search of a good macaron at a fair price ( Du Gascon (small and too expensive, Pain Dore ( not enough variety, pricy and tiny).
I went to La Maison du Macaron in Montreal last month. This place and Point G macaron boutique are located within walking distance of each other.
The store is bright and modern, with a sit-down cafe area in a separate room. The people working there very friendly and helpful. They have 24 flavours to choose from, I tried 6 of them and they were all very good. One was stale, but still tasted...

Hello strawberry and rhubarb! We had the good fortune of randomly checking yelp while we were in the area of La Maison du Macaron. Thank the gods we did, otherwise this would not have happened for us.
Just thinking of this spare, white shop on a side street off Mont-Royal makes me drool. Sadly, we only got 6 macarons. How moronic that was. The combinations are amazing, in hindsight. Passion...

Thanks so much Yvonne T. for my gifts from Montreal!
La Maison du Macaron's macaron is AWESOME!
These are not normal macarons since they passed the extreme test:
- flying all the way from Montreal
- got crushed in my purse while I was drinking vodka and partying away during Elite Event
- ate them at least 5 days after they left the store in Montreal
And I have to say it is one of the best...

La Maison du Macaron was on my list of stops while in Montréal since I began my pilgrimage for macarons.
I walked 1 hour to get to La Maison du Macaron, and alas, my pilgrimage was not in vain. The shop display is very minimalist, very similar to Nadège in Toronto. White. They have 2 different categories of macarons (accordingly, priced differently). There was the "sorbet" collection and the...

THE best macarons in Montreal. I visited Paris and had some there in the best patisseries, but quite frankly for the price and quality, you can't beat La Maison du Macaron.
They switch up the flavours each season (was very sad Litchi and Tea disappeared), but this Spring 2011's flavours of white chocolate and milk chocolate are heavenly.
My favourite flavour is the Peppered Mango. It sounds...

This is going to be a fun blog to write….because it was a great topic to research. My boss told me about this delectable place called La Maison du Macaron. He insisted I go there and write about them. Did I mention my job is totally unrelated to this blog! So I got in touch with the owners and set a meeting time. Off I went during a lunch time with my pen, my writing pad and a clean taste bud... plus
