Located in the cool West End neighborhood of downtown Vancouver, the Meridian at 910 Beach is a great alternative to some of the other full service hotels in the area. Built as condos and then turned into hotel rooms for short and extended stays, 910 Beach offers a somewhat unique stay.
No they don't have a lobby bar or restaurant or even a sundry, but what they do have are decent sized rooms...

They should have greeted me with this song from Les Miserables playing in the background... "Charge 'em for the lice, extra for the mice - Two percent for looking in the mirror twice - Here a little slice, there a little cut - Three percent for sleeping with the window shut" *For the record, there was no lice or mice. It was very clean.
The location is great, but the amount of nickel and...

I spent two nights in a blandly functional, very tight junior suite on the fourth floor. The furniture (one bed, a two-person sofa, a coffee table, and an armless stuffed chair) occupied ALL the space except for the one-person cooking space (and a large storage closet, relative to the size of the room itself, that contained a fan). The bed (the hardest I've ever slept on, and still comfortable)... more
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely helpful which is always appreciated when you are travelling. The room was comfortable and the facilities were great. It is an older hotel but I would still recommend it. Terrific restaurants close by on the waterfront.
Junior suite very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Stanley Park and BC Place stadium. Very helpful staff Jackie and Julia.
Thank you to Expedia, the hotel we were hoping to stay at on Granville Island, and the 910 Beach Ave Hotel where we did stay. The whole experience was very positive. As with many travellers of moderate income we simply wanted a place to "crash" after a night on the town. Arriving late we found ourselves actually upgraded to the penthouse! What a treat! The only concern, and it is minor, was the... more
The hotel room was a bit small, but included a washer/dryer, full fridge and microwave/stove. The room was clean and tidy and the area felt safe. The hotel staff was pleasant and very helpful with directions/things to do. The free breakfast was small, mostly just juice, coffee and small pastries. Note that parking was not included (additional charge) and neither was internet (wi-fi) (additional... more
I stay at this hotel three or so times a year. It's in a central location, close to Granville, has a washer/dryer, full kitchen with utensils and cookware, and the views are great. Would definitely recommend!
This hotel is located just off the seawall, walking distance to Yaletown and (athletically) to downtown. Beautiful area. The staff were helpful, friendly and all you could ask for. I stayed in one of the 'townhouse' studio suites which had pros and cons....kind of felt like I lived in downtown Vancouver. There's a tiny patio to sit and enjoy a coffee, to have breakfast - and watch all the... more
close to aquabaus for Granville Island. Superb free continental breakfast. Could splash out on LCD TV's Bit retro with the little box. Does have parking but hard to find & cant get into till you register. Its cheap for Vancouver $15 aday need to pay for wi fi but so what parking is $25 cheaper than down town Vancouver hotels
Parking charges, Internet access fees, room for a washing machine, but washing powder charge。
Jackie the receptionist was most helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and varied
The location of this hotel was the only good thing about it. The room was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning. The room was very small, there was no balcony and there were only two small windows that opened. The space is poorly layed out with a small eating area that is in a little room that has a sill you have to walk over like it was a balcony and someone had a bad idea of closing... more
Great place for me - needed the washer/dryer as I was doing watersports on False Creek only 100m away & can be crossed by Aquabus water taxi to Granville Island. Was able to get on the creek in the morning, do laundry, fly out in the afternoon! Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Full kitchen handy if you don't want to eat out everyday. Only negatives - no air conditioning (I was there during... more
Perfect for staying downtown, if you like to walk.
The hotel is ok and close to Granville Island. We found the staff to be very friendly and excellent and they even loaded our luggage on the taxi while we finished our coffee. You can avoid the breakfast though, as it is sugar and carb overload. Overall, a good experience.
We are a family of five that rented a one bedroom suite. It was perfect for our needs. The location cannot be beat. Steps to the aquabus to Granville Island - and right up Hornby to downtown. We rented excellent bikes closeby and were able to stroll to the beach to watch fireworks on our final evening. The kitchen was well outfitted and the laundry facilities were a bonus. Dishsoap would help?... more
Location is awesome, 10 min walk to downtown core, but the neighborhood is safe and gorgeous! one block to the waterfront which has a nice bridge/Granville island views as well as little cafes and bistros on the boardwalk. room was clean, comfortable, well stocked suite, and very affordable! Very helpful front desk staff as well, I would definitely stay again!
Close to Granville Island water taxi. Two bedroom apartment was great for our family of 5, although second bedroom was a double so our young girls slept together. Whether was very hot and no air con would be our only gripe. Staff very friendly.
Stayed for 2 weeks after relocating to Vancouver with my wife and 2 year old. Townhouse suite was more like a small 2 bedroom apartment with a moderate kitchen, one smallish bedroom and one tiny bedroom. Kitchen was pretty ill equipped in terms of cooking utensils. Master bedroom had a queen bed and closet but NO dressers. 2nd bedroom barely fit a twin bed. We set up a small ikea crib and... more
Staff Are Great very informative and super friendly, Very quiet and even though there is no airconditiong the suite was very comfortable.Great Continental breakfast and lots of delivery places ner by if you dont want to eat out.
Great, friendly staff. Easy access to public transport.
Great location, clean building, simple continental breakfast, nice staff!
Great hotel with a convenient location & a knowledgeable, friendly & helpful staff. We really enjoyed our visit to Vancouver & the hotel was a big part of why enjoyed our visit.
Great location - close to Granville Island. Apartments are most adequate for short and longer term stays. Staff very friendly and complimentary continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise
It was good , i liked the Staff how they work , they are so friendly and polite .. But some stuff was old as the TV its old and the Oven too .. I enjoyed my stay there
Well positioned. Close to Yaletown and the Seawall. Would stay again.
We stayed in 309 and it was fine for two people. Three would have been close quarters. Staff was excellent from cleaning to front desk, location was perfect. Check out" longtable gin" small craft distillery up the street for Friday G&T's with a Taco food truck. Also few short steps to water taxi to Grandville island.Couple items that would help: add some real coffee cups to rooms and get rid of... more
If you are looking for location and price along clean rooms this the place. Location was bang on for anyone who is looking for shopping and dinning experiences. The price was excellent for what you get. Don't expect any frills or extras though. One of the best places I have stayed at in Vancouver so far.
We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights at the start of our recent holiday in May 2014. It's a pleasing, modern building, right on the corner of a street and very close to where you catch one of the little water taxis across to Granville Island (which we loved, well worth a visit or two). The staff are all lovely - very friendly and helpful and an extra pillow was delivered to our room on request... more
Great value would highly recommend. Handy to Granville Island and a short walk to main shopping areas.
We went to Vancouver to visit relatives and visit close family. The hotel was close and convenient but required some walking up and down hills in the area. Location is very convenient to waterfront, Granville Island, and Davy Street restaurants, but parking for vehicles is a problem in a parking restricted district. The hotel is quiet, clean and very accommodating for our needs. It was a very... more
The hotel has great apartment style rooms, some with balconies. Fully equipped kitchen allow for self-made dinners of fresh veggies and fish bought on close-by Granville Island. English Bay and several restaurants and cafes are within short walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could have had a little more variety, but was sufficient.
Location was good, breakfast was good, room was good, staff were good. On balance I would say good.
Very well located : closed to Granville island, to all major attractions. good size for the rooms and service efficient and very pleasant
The hotel is well situated in downtown Vancouver close to English Bay, Yale Town and the West End. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Apartment suite with kitchen amenities affords the opportunity to prepare one's own food thereby saving the expense of eating out. Ideal for extended stays in Vancouver. Will definitely come back.
I spent five days in a studio room and was very pleased with everything. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very nice and accommodating. The room has a home feel with full kitchen and laundry. I would recommend it to anyone who visit Vancouver.
We have stayed at this hotel before and already have booked in with our daughter for the Sun Run in Vancouver. Hotel staff have always been welcoming, helpful and accomodating. Our overall experience is one of being very comfortable, relaxed and always looking forward to our next stay.
Great 2 night stay with friends to see a concert and explore Vancouver. Hotel is in a great neighborhood, easy walk to everything. Had a suite with 2 beds and 2 baths, made for an enjoyable trip.
I was pleasantly surprised at the location and quality of the hotel for the price. Nestled in a very upscale safe neighborhood and right on the sea wall. I will stay here again.
It was very comfortable - the room was clean - the staff were very nice. It was nice to have an apartment with kitchen and washer/dryer although we did go out to eat but would have used it more if we had stayed longer. It was fun to take the little ferry across to Granville Island. On the way back we saw that there were actually restaurants/bars at the waterside end of our street which we would... more
On the edge of the downtown area, right next to the Seawall, walking distance to the happening streets and much cheaper than hotels a few blocks away. Very quiet. All was good during my 3 night stay, nice staff, room was clean, spacey enough, and I'm just removing a star since given that we live in the 21st century, I consider an internet connection part of complimentary utilities, not... more
Due to glitch with Expedia, got upgraded to Penthouse. Great location, close to Sunset Beach, short ferry ride to Granville Island (also within walking distance), Yaletown, Roundhouse, lots of restaurants. Can also take ferry to Olympic Village and Science Center. Friendly and helpful staff, decent continental breakfast. Also, bonus of washer & dryer in unit, very helpful if you're light... more
910 is very well situated giving easy walking distance to so many sights including Granville Island down the hill and the walk to town up Burrard St.
We had an enjoyable stay with only one criticism. We found that the towels were too thin and not as absorbent as they could have been. This would have enabled us to keep the towels for our stay instead of asking for them to be changed. I would also have liked to have small jam packets in the breakfast room (but that's a personal like and not a criticism). We enjoyed being close to the aquabuses... more
Location is great, walking distance of downtown as well as a ferry to the public market. Parking below was a convenience. The staff was very helpful. We arrived much early and they provided the room at 2 PM. Breakfast was minimal continental but fruits were provided.
Great apartment meets hotel, unexpected free breakfast of bagels and juice, staff were so lovely and welcoming. Loved having a proper kitchen area to use and the area overseeing Granville Island was great.
the hotel is very well situated. staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little small however for a family with two kids in need of the kitchen it's a great place to stay. We found the continental breakfast to be well stocked with a number of different items to eat. We would definitely come back here again.
Convenient location, with good amenities for a short stay.
We rented a car but there was plenty of public transportation available . We had a delightful time.
910 Beach Avenue is more than a hotel. They offer various sized suites. We had a junior suite which we would call a studio apartment in the UK. The suite had a comfortable double bed, sitting area, small dining area, separate empty boxroom where we could leave our suitcases and other mess out of the way. The open plan kitchen was fully equipped with a massive fridge, cooker/oven, kettle,... more
2年前に宿泊した時には有線のインターネット接続が無料でしたが、 今回はWIFIになり有料化されてしまいガッカリでした。
This is a comfortable hotel located close to public transport. You do need to travel to reach tourist attractions but there is a sightseeing trolley stop nearby and also a ferry to Granville Island. Rooms are small but the price is reasonable.
Stayed one night while sightseeing, and found the room bright, pleasant and comfortable, in a pretty neighborhood. But the hotel probably lends itself more to a long-stay traveller who will be living there a week or more. Only drawback is the charge for wifi.
U=If your wanting a central location to do business and also site see this place has great value.
The room is very sterile, no paintings or personality. The room was smal but adequate for a business stay, but if you were there for a long personal vaction, I would go for the larger rooms.
This isnt a regular hotel, its an apartment hotel. It had a washer and dryer, kitchen, separate area for the bed and a little living room. There was also a little atrium like breakfast nook. Even though we didn't use the washer and dryer or really even the kitchen, it was well worth the price compared to other hotels in the area. We would stay here again.
The hotel is well positioned not far from the main department stores and transport anywhere. The hotel staff were professional, very welcoming, and enquiries handled extremely well. My room was very comfortable, roomy, and well appointed.
It was nice to have a little kitchen we didn't cook but we used the fridge and microwave. It was good to have a place to keep food and left overs from dinner. It was just a weekend get away for us and we had been to Vancouver before so we spent some time just relaxing in the little studio apt room. It was nice to have a DVD player The breakfast was pretty good as well. Desk staff only spoke when... more
After searching Yelp for a cheap, viable option for my out of town conference in Vancouver, I was super excited about a star review for 910 Beach. All my colleagues were staying at the Fairmont or the Marriot Hotels. There are some great hotels in Vancouver, and if you like service and Wi-Fi and a bellman, this is not one of them. If you want to move to Vancouver and feel like a local, here's... more
We loved the location. Our room was small. I guess you can book bigger rooms. Staff were okay. I wouldn't say they were not friendly. But they sure can be more passionate about their job.
More or Less fair service, definatly not the friendlies of guest service.
Absolutley loved this place. The rooms were very spacious and they came equipped with so much. I loved the fact that they had a private deck...I almost wanted to move in. Every morning I was greeted with a USA Today newspaper. This was in a quite convienient location to get around anywhere. If I go back to Vancouver anytime soon I will probably come back here!
I'm not picky about my accommodations, but I thougt 910 Beach House was marginal, at best. The space was small and poorly laid out . There was enough deck space to fit 50 people but not enough room in one of the bedrooms to fit a suitcase. The breakfast consisted of some Costco muffins and watered down OJ. And, those threadbare towels were like drying yourself with a dinner napkin. The place... more
The Meridian is a great condo-converted-hotel. It is a hotel without all the fluff like room service and in-house services like salons and masseuses that can come to your room. There's no dry-cleaning offered but if you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, clean place to stay this is it!
Things our unit had:
- Washer/dryer (I brought my own detergent/dryer sheets, it's not provided.)

“The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. It was a short taxi ride to get to most restaurants. The main room was small but very comfortable. It would be a great place to stay for several days due to the washer and dryer and fully equipped kitchen.”
“Like the location close to Granville Island and shopping downtown Vancouver. Cooking facilities is a plus. Affordable.”
“My wife and I recently stayed at The Meridian for the second time - we had forgotten how truly horrible this place is. The rooms only have beat up plastic mini-blinds, so the room is flooded with light from the street lights all night long. There is no air circulation without the windows being open, but as the hotel is located right under the Burrard Street bridge, the traffic noise is... more
This was an apartment not a 4 star hotel. If you where to stay with a family for weeks, it would be OK. The rooms were very small and the hotel had no amenities. The room was noisy-street noise. I would never recommend this hotel to a liesure traveller.
I read the reviews about the Meridian through Yahoo! before booking well in advance, and all I can say is…this place is GREAT! We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse (large) for 3 nights. The neighborhood is very nice and it has access to every part of Vancouver. You can walk to downtown in less than 10 minutes and you are also less than 200 yards from the water taxi and sea wall. The beds were... more
The Meridian was very comfortable and very clean. One of the best locations, staff was unbelivable good. Love it.
This was truly the answer to a mother's every wish. We were in Vancouver for our daughter's wedding and wanted a place for convenience, comfort and entertaining. Our suite (1 bedroom deluxe) was everything we hoped it would be. I coked every night, with fresh produce and meat from Grandville Island, and they provided a crib so that our ... more
“Great location, great staff. Rooms are apartment like. Ours was a small room, so had a bed, a small office space, a small sitting room and a kitchen. You are 5 minutes on foot from Granville Island if you have to wait at all for the Aqua Bus. Great experience.”
I didn't intend to stay in the penthouse, but since it was available and the price was reasonable for a room with three decks and a great view of Granville Island. The only negatives are small beds and VHS tape in small TV.
