The food is decent and maybe a bit pricey but what is really surprising(read disappointing) is the sub-par service. Impolite servers constantly bumping into you(especially if you are seated in the cramped style the tables are set out in this restaurant). Don't expect an apology or excuse from the servers.

Excellent restaurant apportez-votre-vin.
First time at this place and it was a surprise I thought I was going to my favourite byow but I was brought here and it was a nice surprise.
Menu was nice but it changes with the season so a lot of the things I was told about weren't there.
I started off with the two types of foie gras, the best one was the warm one served on gingerbread vs the chunk they gave us with barely any citrus jam.

Been coming to this little gem on every visit to Montreal for over 25 years now. Never had a disappointing (or even mediocre) experience ever. A quaint corner BYOB with a daily menu. Most sauces are fruit based. Duck with morello cherries was exquisite. Sweetbreads with pineapple sauce.... you just can't go wrong. Note, the table is yours for the entire evening so bring a few bottles and relax.
La Colombe was a Perfect Location for a large Group. We had 20 people and it was easy to bring our own wine and as a Prix fixe Restaurant, the food was timed well for 20 people. Food was also good! The veal was cooked perfectly!
Intimate BYOB with French market cuisine served in set-price, multi-course offerings.
Since 1990, La Colombe has been serving up its own unique version of French fare, incorporating a touch of North Africa. The regular menu includes fine dishes like vol-au-vent d'escargots, foie gras with chutney, venison with blueberry sauce, and smoked salmon. The table d'hôte menu changes daily and includes a number of fresh seafood options, all perfectly cooked and beautifully presented,... plus
