Make that "cautiously creative" -- not ostentatious enough to halt conversation in midsentence, but worth an approving comment en passant. Great chef. Amazing foie gras torchon. Very great local products. Much better than the other haute cuisine offerings in town. New chef from France. Amazing lunch, amazing pastries. Go for afternoon tea-inexpensive all you can eat of the fabulous pastry selection.

Reliable and elegant
November 04, 2011Renoir is in a big upscale hotel, and thus has a menu the is meant to have something for anybody. It features great decor, good service and a good menu from a sold reliable kitchen. While not shockingly novel, I love it for it dependability when I have guests who are not seeking the latest it wild trends, but a good meal.
