We opened as a food cart in the summer of 2010, and built our own kitchen and restaurant at New Westminster's River Market in May of 2012
Re-Up BBQ has a place in many judges' hearts for its diet-destroying, oh-so-satisfying Southern-style pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches—all of which came to a crashing halt (literally) when the cart was hit by a bus in December; its new venture, FarmCity, switches gears for mobile salads.
FINALLY REAL FRIED CHICKEN! This place tucked in the New West Quay is a nice change of pace. I had the fried chicken dinner with coleslaw which was amazingly delicious, and my fiance had a brisket sandwich, which was great, and biscuits & gravy had a nice kick to it. Great location and by far the best BBQ I've ever had. I will definitely be returning to try other menu items.
We came for an early dinner. We ordered the following items:
1) rack of pork ribs - good flavour but a bit dry.
2) 1 pound of beef brisket - very tender, with a nice BBQ sauce on top
3) biscuit - nice and buttery
4) coleslaw - not good. Flavourless, a bit bitter. Recommend skipping this
5) fries - decent.
