Rallye Motors Mitsubishi - The Ultimate Mitsubishi Experience
So, long story short. I phoned Moncton Saturn and spoke with one of their sales reps and specifically told her that I was looking for an SUV with a sunroof for under $17,000 on the road (after taxes, admin fees, etc.) She told me to leave it with her so she could find the vehicle for me. Well, she came back with GREAT news!!! (go figure) There was a 2007 Saturn Vue that was $16,783 that they just brought in. The dealer was supposedly having a huge sale to clear their lot of used cars. She said that even though it was $16,783, the sales manager would approve it since I was pre approved for the loan at the bank and they were having a big sale. She insisted upon getting a $500 deposit on the vehicle through my VISA saying that it would definatly show them that I was serious and they were a lot more likely to approve the sale if I were to show some serious interest. So I did. They took the $500 telling me that if it did get declined, the money would be refunded immediately. (It took them 2 days to put the money back on the card) She called back an hour later saying that the deal had been approved as long as we could pay $18,300 ($1300 higher than what I wanted to spend) for the car, and they would remove the new tires that they just installed and put the old ones back on! They also said that to get the price that low, they were not going to do any of the normal reconditioning work on it which I was told was saving $2500.00 and they said that it would be an "as is" sale! So... lets do a little math... the original price was $16,783.00 add tax (13%)its $18,964.00 minus their offer of $18,300.00 equals an amazing once in a lifetime deal where we'd save a whopping $664.79!!! But wait... the car at its asking price had new tires, that's like $700.00 and it had their reconditioning done to it that was supposedly $2500.00 hmmmm. Guess thats why GM's bankrupt. No? Customer service like that... where else would you go? So based on this I felt as though someone had spit on my offer, so I called the owner, Chris Darrah to inquire as to if these were their normal practices. He quickly realized that I was calling to complain so he shuffled me off to his manager JC who is the one who came back with their ridiculous offer. I asked for Chris again and was told that I would not be talking to Chris again and that it's just one sale. Its not going to make them bankrupt!!! Well guys, apparently that kind of attitude, customer service, and those kind of deals did make you guys bankrupt. So needless to say I am going far far away from this dealership, or its sister dealership, Rallye Motors Hyundai which is owned by the same person.
