The Raincity Grill is the quintessential Vancouver dining experience. Situated overlooking the steel-blue waters of English Bay, this “West End” landmark has defined regional cuisine for the past 14 years.

A lot of restaurants can claim they use local produce, seafood and meats, but Raincity Grill marches further: we tell you the name of the farm. A few examples? Raincity Grill is proud to serve you vegetables from North Arm Farm in Pemberton (98 miles away), pork from Sloping Hills in Qualicum Beach (80 miles away), chicken from Rossdown Farms in Abbotsford (50 miles away), Salt Spring Island... more

The room's become a bit dowdy, which puts it in sharp contrast to he fresh, imaginative dishes that come dependably from Jennifer Peters' kitchen. Local ingredients never had it so good: duck prosciutto and endive salead ($15), smoked ham hock and parsley terrine ($14), and grilled Caesar salad ($11) are bang-on appetizers, and pasta dishes like the side stripe shrimp and bacon linguini ($22)... more

This top-starred restaurant is a gem -- painstaking in preparation, arty in presentation, and yet completely unfussy in atmosphere. Raincity Grill was one of the very first restaurants in Vancouver to embrace the "buy locally, eat seasonally" concept. The menu focuses on seafood, game, poultry, and organic vegetables from British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. The room is long, low, and... more

Great experience!

I had my graduation lunch here, and brought friends and family totalling a whopping 10 people. RCG reserved a big table for us right in the front next to the big windows. It was private and we had the best view! I'm giving RCG 5* for everything because there is absolutely nothing to complain about! The food catered to everyone. My grandparents wanted something more simple = omelettes. The rest... more

Raincity Grill has been illustrating the farm-to-table ideology since its inception in 1992. The organic menu gets its ingredients from within a 100 mile radius of the establishment and the freshness of the produce is evident in every bite. It celebrates the passion of local producers with a wine list of Pacific Northwest varieties including hard-to-find regional estate wines. One of the West... more

A sophisticated yet casual West End restaurant with amazing views of English Bay and Stanley Park. The Pacific Northwest tastes extend to both the menu and the wine list. The creative cuisine takes advantage of fresh local ingredients and features organic vegetables, artisanal cheeses and salmon fished specifically for the restaurant. Opportunities to taste a variety of eclectic items are... more
