This hotel has very comfortable bed and the suite style gives very generous room. The staff is nice but slow. I was given a smoking room but they denied it even though it was obviously extremely smelly. I refused to stay there and they eventually found me another room. Parking is reasonable at 12/day. The shuttle is very slow and only 2 per hour! Also, I could hear almost every plane that took... more

We stayed here July 25, 2009. Whoever said it was ho hum or beige on beige has not been there recently. The plain exterior belies the richly decorated, luxurious, Italianate reno inside. Our room had an intimate seating area with attractive (albeit electric) fireplace, large wall mounted TV and mantle, partly screened from the bedroom itself. As hotel is perched on the edge of a ghetto, are other reviewers smoking crack?

Staying here for a full business week plus weekend. Travel date: early Jan 09. Yes its cold, but this is Canada. Didnt they have cold weather 35 years ago when this hotel was built? Right out of the 70s: sometimes working wall mounted heater never got the room above 70 degrees and noisy to boot. Constantly cycling, had to close the door to the bedroom, leaving one tiny vent to heat a 150 square... more
