From an avid resturant enthusist. I'm confused when I see positive reviews for Provence. I live in Cabbagetown. This resturant is NEVER busy and it shows in the food and service. Tried the Summerlicious 2010 menu (5 people). Quality of food was good. Decor is a reminder of countryside bistros in France. Service was extremely erratic, slow and competition between wait staff was readily discernible. Very bad value. The service was very slow and amateur, there was some sort of dispute going on, the cooking was the best part of the experience but still not good. The revamped (read re-priced) menu offers first class quality with a cjarming ambience. Much better than some of the downtown 'namey' spots. I have taken business clients as well as friends and have never failed to impress them.
