Lovely home of a historic family who was very important in the history of Victoria. Interesting tour a very knowledgeable tour guide or self guided tour with head phones. Excellent high tea that is more than you can possibly eat. Very reasonable price. We go often.
I take all my visitors to Point Ellice House. The tour is so interesting and done in a very entertaining manner. It also has one of the best Afternoon Teas in Victoria. Take the time and seek out this attraction I don't think you will be disappointed
What a wonderful afternoon enjoying Christmas Tea with friends in such a historic site. We were delighted to be greeted by costumed staff (volunteers) who were very informative and provided excellent service. An historic house, built in 1867 by Gold Rush Magistrate and Commissioner Peter O’Reilly. Overlooks the Gorge Waterway. Tea served in the luxurious gardens. House tours with personal audio tape units. Large collection of Victoriana still in its original location. Call for hours.
