Preternatural poutine
Their poutine is unusual in that it is baked like a casserole, and served in a tinfoil dish. (Shania Twain introduced Martha Stewart to poutine this way.) Not a spicy sauce, but a hearty snack. You will have trouble finishing a medium. Add some red pepper flakes from the shakers in the serving area, if you like.
The menu signs are predominantly in French, but the friendly, multilingual staff will take care of you.
The place is a fixture in a humble, multicultural neighbourhood, so it gives value for money.
