I have gone here for the lunch buffet on multiple occassions. This is definately the fastest way to get in and out in a timely manner on a weekday. One of the highlights is the ability to make your own salad from fresh ingredients - there is also a wide selection of pizza, other entrees, grill your own bread, as well as desert pizza.
Sat down at 6:55pm - 4 adults and 3 kids...took us ages after being show out table to even get a drink order. We just got up grilled some bread while we were waiting. Finally the drinks came - horrible tap water and for those who ordered soft drinks...well made with the same horrible tap water. If I was a Pepsi rep I would be upset. We finally got to place our order - 2 baked pasta dishes and pizza all around. Then we watched for almost an hour while others who arrived later were served their dishes while we waited, and waited. I complained that we were leaving soon to one of the guys working there. He said it wasn't his fault - he had the Pizza Delight shirt on...I didn't - my mistake for thinking you might be able to help bud! We fumed for another couple of minutes and got up I won't even get into the mess of a layout this place had. You had to fight your way around a grill station and a poorly placed waiter station/drink station to get to our table. I will never go to this place again. Mount Pearl location is great so I am curious if this place is owned by the same person or just a corporately run location that doesn't seem to care about a reputation. I wouldn't give this place any stars but it seems I have to in order to submit a review.
Without a doubt, Pizza Delight on Stavenger Drive (okay, Aberdeen Avenue if you're that particular) is the best pizza in town. It's definitely not cheap but for the service, I don't mind paying a bit extra.
The staff are extremely friendly. You can get unlimited refills of your drink, which always has just the right amount of ice. You can grill your own bread. The pizza is amazing. It takes them a while to prepare it (moreso than some other places) but the wait is so worth it.
