Pronounced "peent-choo," the Basque word for tapas, this jovial resto draws from the Spanish Basque tradition, offering exquisitely composed dishes at fair prices in pleasant surroundings. Cooking happens in an open kitchen in a room with antique wood floors and brick walls. Each pintxo is true tapa size, only three or four bites, so order recklessly. Some of our favorites include the braised... plus
My boyfriend and I went to Pintxo based on a recommendation. And it was well worth it.
Although I write the review being a vegetarian, my boyfriend is not, and we got a full range of foods from the menu. I was told to be one of the best tapas in Mtl but for me it was just regular. I agree that they have a great variety of food but the portions were definitely too small, 3 bites max for each tapas. Love tapas and this is the place that comes to mind when I develop a craving. I've tried tapas in many different places, large and small. Pintxo is the restaurant by which I measure others.

It offers miniature-sized tapas literally called “pintxos” in a variety that is both a tribute to the Basque region and to the creativity of Montreal chefs. These bite-sized decadent creations are beautifully presented and packed with... plus
Basque tapas! The bites here are smaller than traditional Spanish tapas, but that means you can try more of them. Try the bacalao a la Bizcalna (cod with tomato sauce), falsa lasaña de sardines (sardines with avocado and peppers), txampis rellenos como me enseño Arzak (mushrooms stuffed with duck confit), morcilla de burgos (black pudding with apple chutney) and vieiras con su txapela (scallops... plus
