History
Established in 1944
It was 1944 when "The Pilot Grill" opened its original location at 800 Yonge Street. The Pilot's distinct name is a tribute to the heroic flyers of World War II.

Can't miss
The Pilot has been around forever and it right in the heart of Yorkville. It was a great rooftop patio and is always full. Great hub for industry people. Food isn't anything extraordinary but its decent plus who cares most people seem to go there to drink!

This comfortable watering hole dates back to 1944, and it claims to be Toronto's longest continuously operating bar. Long-time regulars mingle with the suited after-work crowd, while local jazz fans love their Saturday and Sunday afternoon matinees in the Stealth Lounge. A lovely rooftop patio is another draw.

Visited the Pilot for the second time with a friend for food and drinks. We sat on the patio and it was great! I ordered the thai noodles which were pretty tasty, while my friend ordered the quesadillas and enjoyed them. Overall, it was a good atmosphere and we enjoyed ourselves. I will be back again!

I used to love the Pilot. Their rooftop patio is one of the best's in Toronto. However, after my experience last night - I will never step foot inside. We spotted a mouse running around their rooftop patio, and when we told the staff, they seemed unconcerned and actually rolled their eyes that I was making such a big deal. Nice little spot in the cut but in the heart of downtown Toronto. The rooftop bar was nice and he service was very good. I only ate the fish tacos but if that was any indication of their other items I can tell you it was very good.
