Very Impressed with Our Wedding Photographs!
We booked Doug from Phillips Photography for our Handfasting/Wedding and were incredibly satisfied with him. Our event was not your run of the mill wedding, it was a pagan handfasting, done out of doors, and the reception was a picnic in the park under some large trees. Not your typical setting, and not one that Doug had apparently done too many of.
We were happy with what we had seen of his previous work, and in speaking with him, we agreed that he'd be our photographer for that special day.
I have to say, the day was amazing, and the way Doug handled himself, he is a professional through and through, not only was he able to be fun, laugh and joke where appropriate, he was personable, helpful and very creative. All my guests, friends and family alike, loved him. What's more is that the photographs themselves are absolutely outstanding, there isn't a fake smile to be found anywhere, he is that good.
I will continue to use Doug from Phillips Photography for all my photographic needs, personal and professional alike.
Only the best & what we got was even better!
I chose to have Doug come and take my family shoot at Christmas time in my home. I know his work is excellent and that he has no issues working in less than typical situations based on what I had seen him do in the past.
When he came to my home, he was personable, funny, easy going, and professional. He made us all feel like we were high class models doing an upscale magazine shoot. What's even better is that the photos turned out looking just like that, yet not on a cat walk, but in my living room! Amazing work.
He has the magic shutter finger, it knows just when to click and when to hesitate for a nanosecond.
I will be using Doug and his magic photographic skills for a very very long time to come.

DO NOT use Phillips Photography !
We booked Doug for our wedding, not only did he never end up doing our engagement pictures beforehand he didn't show up to our wedding. He sent his 'business partner' Nick who was late and completely rude from the second I asked who he was! He refused to listen to us,didn't take the photos we wanted, was rude and mocked us all day. Before he left he told us off.
I phoned Doug the next day and he insisted the pictures would be good and not to worry. After weeks of him saying the my photos would be ready tomorrow and never were. I went to pick them up. Doug was trying to get the rest of our money but we refused telling him when we see the pictures and get the rest of the products (albums, pictures, thank you cards, etc) he could have the rest of the money.
We took one look at the pictures and could tell why he wanted his money. They are HORRIBLE! The quality is very poor (grainy, etc) and the shots are at awkward angles, heads partially cut off, etc.
An amatuer could have taken better pictures!
