For primary market products, Pendragon is one of the best stores in the city for selection. The proprietor, however, varies in attitude from smug satisfaction to vague contempt to outright insulting. I personally can handle the first two, but the last, as he directed at me today, was enraging. If you absolutely must go, he doesn't seem to be there on weekends, and the difference in atmosphere is palpable.
That being said, with customer service like that, he must have good business sense to have stayed relatively successful in the hobby business for so long...
I use to love this store but i'll have to say John is a jerk and needs to retire or get a life. I hadnt been there in years since they moved to the scary end of the city and happend to be waiting for a bus right there.
I noticed they were selling cards i havent been able to find anywhere so poped in, there were some give aways in front so took a look grabed a couple and was gonna look around then John came running to the front and told me to drop the free stuff and get out like WTF kinda way is that to run a business??? ill never go back.
They do have a great scelection of card games, like Magic the Gathering. But the owner defienetly isnt the friendliest guy.
I'd say, that if it really is the closest location to you, and you are only into MTG, then sure, go there. But if you want more variety, and somewhere closer to you, there are better places.
