This company offers a one and a half hour tour up and down the Ottawa River. Our group took one of these tours down the Ottawa River. It was alright, but there are a lot of people on the boat and if you want to take pictures you will probably end up standing at the front or back of the boat since sitting leads to people's heads in your shots. Also there are kids running around and its just plastic deck chairs. So it's not a luxury cruise but more of a family event.
Since the Ottawa River is so important to Ottawa's heritage, beauty and industry, I think it's a good idea to take a boat tour of the river and/or canal if you're visiting the city.
