Heavenly croissants in plain, chocolate, or almond are almost as popular as the baguettes that sell out daily. Try savoury tortière, sausage rolls, or chausson—pastry filled with ham and mushrooms in a white-cheese sauce.

their coconut macaroons are so delicious - and i hate coconut. they also make ones with chocolate dip...yum! their miche bread is WONDERFUL! crusty on the outside, soft, smells like heaven on the inside. their pear tart was also wonderful. Their pastries - puff pastries - are good, but an indulgence, and a bit too crispy by the time i get there. they should showcase their cookies more - maybe... more

Patisserie Bordeaux certainly has the best croissants that I have had in Vancouver. They are flaky and airy, buttery and subtly sweet without heaviness or being oily.The pain au chocolat when it is still warm so that the chocolate inside is still soft...... bliss.  I enjoy a stronger almond flavor so I choose their Feuillettes aux amandes over the almond croissant, although both are absolutely... more

Good enough for croissant snobs

My wife and I are croissant snobs. I'm not ashamed of that. It's good to have discerning tastes. We've eaten many a croissant in multiple countries, and we don't like c@!p.That's why she'll often drive across town to Patisserie Bordeaux for French pastries, especially the croissants. She's even started bypassing Plaisir Sucre so she can go to Patisserie Bordeaux, after getting some burnt edges... more
