I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife, who was stuck at home with a sick child. When the flowers were not delivered same day as promised, I phoned the next morning. I was told she wasn't answering her phone. Not once when ordering was I told they would be phoning ahead. I've sent flowers many times with other companies and they've never done this. Sort of eliminates the element of surprise, doesn't it?
The manager, Wendy, was colossally rude and instantly took offense at my questioning the practice of not telling people of this process. Had I been told they would be phoning, I would have ensured my wife would answer the call. I can only assume by her immediate negative reaction that I am not the first person she has had complain about this practice.
I will certainly not do business with Panda Flowers again, and I will tell my friends and family to do the same.
