Bright and lively, this very popular bistro has a somewhat unlikely name, given that it's one of the best casual Italian trattoria in Edmonton. Menu choices range from specialty pizzas to fine entree salads -- I loved the seared goat cheese salad with mushrooms, pumpkin seeds, and smoked pear dressing -- to grilled meats, chicken, and pasta. White tablecloths and elegant window coverings provide nice accents as you catch glimpses of the chefs cooking in the bar-style kitchen. Choose something from the menu like lemon pizza, roasted chicken marinated in mustard pesto, or grilled beef tenderloin and jumbo... more
A special charm pervades this bistro, which is a favorite of almost anyone who visits. Rustic brick walls, an abundance of natural light, and a wood-burning pizza oven set the scene. The food has a continental flair, accented with Canadian ingredients like grilled lamb and ostrich. You'll also find hot dishes like roasted chicken, osso buco, beef tenderloin, or pasta topped with tiger prawns or... more
