Allergic Reaction

We went to this buffet to try it. All of a sudden my wife had soda come out of her mouth. Then she started to have trouble breathing. We ran to our car and gave my wife Benadryl (injectable - legal here in B.C. We raced to the hospital because 911 said ambulance would be 20 minutes because of Rush hour traffic. We got to hospital and she was struggling for breath even though she had already taken Benadryl. A Sheriff was driving out of parking lot and helped me carry my wife in where they treated her. The scary part was hospital said 2 more minutes and she would have died. I went back to Buffet after my wife was released from hospital. Police where there and when I went in he started yelling we had dined and dashed. He demanded payment for our meals and said he would have me charged if I didn't pay. I told Police about allergic reaction and they said I had to pay for mine and then they would tell manager that they would not charge me if I did so. Conclusion - Paid for a meal I didn't get to eat and a small sample of the shrimp used in bufet. Shrimp tested fine by Health Inspector. The cause of allergic reaction Multi-coloured chips coated with shrimp flavoring.
Managers attempt at public relations - he offered me 2 free buffet meals. Everything in this place is cross contaminated. Avoid it like the plague if you have any food allergies.
