Worst Fish and chips I had in a long time. Greasy, mushy batter, over priced and the service was very slow.

The fish is only barely edible. More batter than fish. Fries are soggy. Service is terrible

The Halibut is the best on the island. you can inhale the malt vinegar as folks use it by the gallon on their fries.

Open for more than 50 years, the Old Vic is one of Victoria's longest-lived restaurants, and one of its most popular. They serve excellent fish n' chips, which come wrapped up in newspaper just like in Great Britain. Halibut is the fish of choice for most patrons, although there are usually a couple of other options, as well.
