O'Grady's is a classic example of a Canadian style pub. Many daily specials compete in popularity to the Tennessee chicken, wings and nachos.

One of the Top Pubs of Downtown Toronto

"Cheap eats and cheap drinks make O’Grady’s a popular choice around the University of Toronto."

After Class Destination
A popular two-floor Irish pub/restaurant/sports bar, O’Grady’s lures crowds of students, professors and neighborhood folks with a broad selection of reasonably priced pub grub, greasy spoon favorites and draught beer. O’Grady’s also features a number of deals, including lunch specials and late-night drink specials that are popular with undergraduates in particular. Located right across College Street from the U of T gates, it’s also a convenient distance from the lecture hall.

Remarkably Complete
O’Grady’s’ menu has a large selection of dishes that are typical of a neighbourhood pub or restaurant. Sandwiches include the clubhouse, BLT, Western and grilled cheese, to name a few. Salads include tossed, Caesar, Greek and julienne vegetables. With a name like O’Grady’s you’d expect some British fare and the pub doesn’t disappoint with the shepherd’s pie and Scotch meat pie. Popular nachos are also on the menu, as well as an all day breakfast. O’Grady’s even offers souvlaki. Burgers are available with all the fixings one might expect – bacon, cheese, mushrooms – as well as some completely unexpected toppers. More than a dozen draft beers plus a few micro brews are available to accompany your meal.

Upstairs, Downstairs

O’Grady’s offers comfortable surroundings on both floors, with dark hardwood tables and chairs. A long bar graces the main floor, with several stools to sit on while you enjoy a solo pint. Upstairs clientele can play while they drink – there are three pool tables, a foosball table and a couple of arcade games.

Food is just soso. My friend and I ordered UoT style burger. But it was nonsense, the flavor is so light. I really like strong flavor burger. Btw, the waitress is very nice and friendly

Went for lunch with the lab. Not exactly the best place for a casual lunch with the TV's blaring football and men talking loudly. Otherwise, atmosphere was nice, service was quick.
Ordered fish and chips: Fish was nicely cooked, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
Wedge fries, good but not seasoned. Tartar sauce given in a small plastic container, not a bottle or bowl.

For a friend's belated birthday we spontaneously decided to go here.
Sitting in the patio was alright; small but it's too be expected for the location. The waitress saw us and came out with food menus pretty quickly then left. However she didn't come back with drink menus, which was what we were there for. We had to ask and it took her a while to find one (you're a pub, why are there no drink... more
