Best Patio in the Gaybourhood!

O'Grady's has a decent menu of tasty pub fair and is a great spot for lunch. I absolutely love the patio...It is a large wrap around style patio, with a couple levels to it and a large smoking section. Cruisiest patio in the village by far! There is also two levels of indoor seating....the top floor is usual reserved for private functions and the bottom is filled with bears and cubs enjoying their 'two for one' steak dinners. The service is exceptional and the prices are quite fair.

One of the Top Pubs of Downtown Toronto

"Cheap eats and cheap drinks make O’Grady’s a popular choice around the University of Toronto."

After Class Destination
A popular two-floor Irish pub/restaurant/sports bar, O’Grady’s lures crowds of students, professors and neighborhood folks with a broad selection of reasonably priced pub grub, greasy spoon favorites and draught beer. O’Grady’s also features a number of deals, including lunch specials and late-night drink specials that are popular with undergraduates in particular. Located right across College Street from the U of T gates, it’s also a convenient distance from the lecture hall.

Remarkably Complete
O’Grady’s’ menu has a large selection of dishes that are typical of a neighbourhood pub or restaurant. Sandwiches include the clubhouse, BLT, Western and grilled cheese, to name a few. Salads include tossed, Caesar, Greek and julienne vegetables. With a name like O’Grady’s you’d expect some British fare and the pub doesn’t disappoint with the shepherd’s pie and Scotch meat pie. Popular nachos are also on the menu, as well as an all day breakfast. O’Grady’s even offers souvlaki. Burgers are available with all the fixings one might expect – bacon, cheese, mushrooms – as well as some completely unexpected toppers. More than a dozen draft beers plus a few micro brews are available to accompany your meal.

Upstairs, Downstairs

O’Grady’s offers comfortable surroundings on both floors, with dark hardwood tables and chairs. A long bar graces the main floor, with several stools to sit on while you enjoy a solo pint. Upstairs clientele can play while they drink – there are three pool tables, a foosball table and a couple of arcade games.

I've been here before for nachos with a friend and they were really yummy! I was in here again this morning for breakfast. There were good tunes playing, my fav. 80's music!

There were only three seats taken in the whole place but two cooks were in the kitchen and three staff members on the floor, one was cleaning the chairs, the top of the TV sets, etc. it smelled a bit like vinegar and musty... more

Misogyny is alive and kicking in Toronto's Gay Village, and one needs only to visit O'Grady's to see women get treated like dirt by a culture that really has no place discriminating anyone at all. To be clear, I'm a gay man and I have enjoyed O'Grady's for as long as I was old enough to appreciate a good plate of wedges on what is undoubtedly the best patio in the village. But after last... more

I got lonely on the Danforth so I decided to take a stroll through the village. The front door for this place was locked so I had to walk to the back. That seemed bizarre. I was ID'd which made me feel young, I guess, but being in my 30's in was a bit of a nuisance. I definitely don't look close to 19. The staff on the inside were friendly. Both the downstairs and upstairs bartenders were... more
