Is O'Carroll's the city's "Most Improved" in the past 5 years? Maybe. A dusky, Gaelic-influenced sort of spot laid out in white tablecloths, potted plants, and stained-glass lamps, it's still a good place for a filling seafood meal. But the kitchen has really changed directions recently, in the process becoming a lot fancier (and better) than the average fish house. Chef Colin Stone now serves... more

An excellent mostly seafood menu. Service was very good and the small dining room is quite cozy. The food was excellent and all 6 of us gave it a very high rating.

There is always a good time to be had at O'Carroll's. The staff makes you feel right at home.
O'Carroll's Restaurant & Irish Pub offers these services: restaurant, bar.
Popular for both its well-appointed dining room and adjacent pub, O'Carroll's is a Halifax institution. Fans of Irish and contemporary folk songs can drop into the bar, situated just across from the busy and popular Historic Properties. Some of the finest local groups take the stage every night of the week. In the dining room, low-key piano music fills the air. The atmosphere is friendly and... more
